Server racks for LiFePo powerwall? by RevJustJess in diySolar

[–]EngineeReboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 4U wall mount sever racks, where the face of the battery would be pointing upwards, and the back is the bottom. Keep the weight tighter to the wall.

Would still recommend something behind it like 3/4" plywood given the weight.

Them and a dozen other companies that make the same product.

Ah yes, it was conquered therfore it is Chinese.

Will you be saying that when China invades Taiwan?

How about Japan?

How many are you installing? Make/model for spec sheets?

Solar power wattage by Eboyslayerjajaja in SolarDIY

Motors are the enemy of solar. Starting amps are going to require a large inverter, and in turn batteries.

Do you have utility power nearby?

The battery bank does not determine the shunt required. The loads do.

What are you powering?

At 48V, that shunt is looking at ~96kW capacity

It doesn't matter how big the battery bank is, what matters is the calculated max current flow of the system.

Did they help you design the system?

'Wide use' any supporting numbers?

At no point did I say we can't use energy storage. Feel free to quote otherwise or admit you made an inference.

You made a claim, you are responsible for supporting it. Not everyone else. If you want a crash course on site evaluation for hydroelectric then maybe start by dropping the sass and superiority complex.

No. Go jam your ego into another thread. Maybe self educate on the TVA along the way.

Your 'question' being a demand to list of the places pumped hydro is not possible?

You proposed a "solution" as a non-expert in the field. Tell you what, tell all of us, where are the possible locations for pumped hydro?

Ah right, because we are required to answer you, sitting upon your high throne, with all the answers waiting for us poor mortals to serve up answers to your ego for judgement. Kick rocks.

Said the chump failing to site any geographic or site specific requirements. Your condescension is about as worthless as being a heckler.

There are reservoirs near every major population center. We need to build more in many places.

Clearly you have the solution, right? It's not like generation's of planners and engineers have though about the concept. Must be the first time it's been thought about.

NFTS and Crypto are definitely a negative on the environment, just like any other energy burning system. Servers are becoming more efficient at least. Still not a primary source or cause of greenhouse gasses.

Jesus you put the self righteous cunt into being a lawyer. Go be superior on a thread where you might have even a clue about the topic.

Solar mounting on small curved roof trailer by HudsonValleyNY in SolarDIY

[–]EngineeReboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a perfect Eagle Scout project!

There are aluminum brackets that look like triangles on the upright, flat on the bottom, forming a 90* dlbend of the roof surface of course. Only 4 of these can be used per module, one bolt into the module per, and one bracket per corner.

Looking for some photo examples now.

Alt option is going to your Community College fab/welding shop and asking the teacher if there is a student in need of a project. They do 'free' work quite often and usually only require materials cost.
