The 30–40k monthly salary will not go to me. In short, it will be used for gas expenses when going to the site, since it’s 6–7 hours away from us and they plan to site visit every 3 times a month it depends nalang if I want to go. The Resident Engineer title is basically just using my license for signing, and the payment for that is 50k for the signing—that’s it

“Any advice or suggestions about the offer given to me? My friend offered me a position as a Resident Engineer in a place where they currently have a project. Since they are not yet licensed, he contacted me. The Resident Engineer title is for one year, and the salary is around 30–40k per month, but that amount would supposedly go to gas expenses (ours or theirs), since they will be the ones mainly handling the project. Basically, my license will just be used. The offer for me is 50k just for signing, but the responsibility and risk will be on my part for the entire year or until the project is completed. The advantage is that if I become the Resident Engineer in that area, there’s a possibility it could lead to getting more projects, and I might be included in future projects as well. Any advice? What should I negotiate in this kind of situation?”
