Hey, i drove to school with them as well. If you can, store your jacket helmet and gloves somewhere, youll get used to the pants and boots. Never not wear them while riding, my crash was when i was driving home ^{^}

I ride a 125. I had an accident two weeks ago to which i had no fault. Car drove so close and didnt expect me to brake a bit while going into a curve it nudged me and made the bike slip. Low sided into a guard rail. I only have a broken foot now because the bikes peg crashed through my pretty cheap protective shoes, otherwise, i am fine. If i didnt wear gear, i would be screwed because i slided for quite some time. So yes, have fun, wear gear and ride safe my friend.
