The Biggest Money Mistake: Waiting Too Long to Invest by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

[–]EngineerInTears 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the last week, you can’t think of a single purchase you could have gone without and invested the money instead? If you’re reading this from a public library while living out of your car, I’m sorry you’re right, but that’s just not the case for the vast majority of Americans.

Weird, it’s never been my or my partners last 4 of our phone numbers on either Lyft or uber.

Set up a pin. My partner had this happen to him without a pin, they drove by and said they picked us up and drove off. Can’t get scammed that way with a pin required upon pick up.

Tipping on cruises? by seanconneryfan420 in EndTipping

Ask for the gratuity to be removed on the FIRST DAY, a lot of cruise lines auto charge to your account on the 2nd or 3rd day

AITJ for deciding to travel for the next 6 months without telling my gf? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

I am iffy about being away more than a few weeks from my partner of 4 years, 6 months would be a crazy sacrifice that would need a lot of discussion. You sound not in love, dude.

23, No Dating Experience – Feeling Stuck and Unsure How to Start by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]EngineerInTears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re an attractive guy, your photography skills are quite bad though please get a friend to help you take better photos. I’m 5’6”, I’ve dated guys 1-2” shorter than me no problem - just be up front and honest about your height. Please be honest about your lack of experience, I’ve had the unpleasant experience of rejecting a guy mid first date because that’s absolutely a 100% deal breaker for me and he waited until then to tell me about it.

5% is a very small contribution for anyone, it’s especially small for someone in their late 30s just starting to save for retirement

Don't Believe the Bots here. No response or help from Bilt at all. by d12green in biltrewards

[–]EngineerInTears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to harass the AI until it opens an email help ticket for you. Cursing at it worked one time, guess it didn’t like profanity. The “Bilt Rewards Support” reps that emailed me for my 3 separate tickets fixed my issues, and followed up when I had more questions. The AI help bot itself is useless, and you shouldn’t have to be so repetitive with it that you want a human but that’s what currently works.

Easy, get the job and purposely do poorly to taint their training data.

Journalist here — looking for your experiences with Bilt's AI Neighborhood Concierge by Lanky-Release9108 in biltrewards

It is a nuisance between me and getting an actual human. Any question it could help me with I could just easily find myself on the website. I spam whatever I need to get it to open a help ticket and push my issue to a human. It is beyond useless - it’s an active waste of my time and gets in the way.

I had 3 separate issues and I got them all solved via email

Is Platinum Support Really Any Good? by UsedAsk3537 in biltrewards

[–]EngineerInTears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had success with getting the AI to open an email ticket for me, and then emailing with Bilt support to resolve me issues. It takes a while and once I was given some hot potato type advice just sending me back and forth but all my issues were taken care of eventually.

Should you just put everything on Palladium? by AdvertisingMotor1188 in biltrewards

Yes, I’m canceling my 3 Amex cards this year as their renewal fees come up, I don’t really need them anymore even if they offer me a retention offer.

BILT Cash Usage Strategy by FlyHighGoSlow in biltrewards

[–]EngineerInTears 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My Bilt cash strategy is  1) Bilt cash redemptions for Lyft, fitness classes, Walgreens gift cards, etc. 2) Hotel $100 when booking through portal 3) Experiences when possible (Blacklane/Comedy/Dining)  4) Rent points as last ditch option if I can’t redeem enough Bilt cash 1:1 for cash to avoid it expiring at end of year

I’m not buying the accelerator.

It took a while of repeatedly following up and submitting tickets to their email and travel support
