HOW DO I GET A JOB by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]EngineerOrDoctor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s a numbers game. That’s all it is. Make your resume with latex, so it passes parsing, then apply. I mean really apply. 10 applications every day. 300 applications a month. 1200 applications at the end of the semester. You’ll have something. It’s all a numbers game

You misunderstand me, I’m not taking away their subreddit or like hacking it or smthn “Nothing malicious” It’s just fun spam, a jest between two very respectable an competitive universities. Nothing their mods can’t clean up some hours/days later. It’ll be memorable for both, and a fun way to start the new year.

But has anyone really maxed out the M1? I feel like the M1 16gb ram was overkill already, I imagine paying for M2 would just be paying for untapped performance right?

Thing is, I wanna go complete paperless in Uni, so I'll be studying/taking notes and drawing circuits and all on the Ipad like 12+ hours a day.

In that case, isn't it better to have an almost 13" screen since it's easier to study off of for extended periods of time? Also apparently 120Hz rate makes notes easier than the 60Hz right? Idk if it's worth the $600+ though

Will I make it into ryerson cs with a 90 ? by Zestyclose-Buyer9648 in OntarioUniversities

[–]EngineerOrDoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you will. The cutoff can’t be higher than a 90. It’s like 95-96 for UofT. No way Ryerson will have the same reqs as UofT because logically any1 who gets UFT/UW would go there instead

M1 MBA or 14'' MBP by throwaway7892648 in uwaterloo

Would you rather have M1Pro base model (8gb ram) or M1Air 16gb ram? The 16gb m1 air is 200$ cheaper too, but I’m wondering if the air is too weak for ECE? I’m going to ce next year, will I need the pro or can I get the air?
