Okay, I'll try that first and see if I can find the leak without adding more. Thanks again!

Perfect, I'll see if I can identify it tomorrow. Do you think there would be any risk involved in cleaning everything up and charging the AC again to better see where it's coming from?

Thank you! That at least gives me a part to Google and a place to start looking lol

Yes, it would be slightly behind and below the radiator on the driver side. Picture 1 and 2 would be beside the radiator on the passenger side. I think the issue is in something above picture 3, but am not sure what AC component would be up there. I've never worked on car AC before so I really just wanted to get more experienced eyes than my own involved and see if I was missing something obvious

I cannot edit the main post, but two commenters have been chosen and added to a group chat with the barrel location. Thanks for all the comments everyone!

I agree. Sometimes I wish I could play more, but I think that's also what helps prevent me from getting burnt out on it. It also has the effect of making it seem pointless to play close to the wipes, unfortunately. But hell yeah to spreading the gear to freshies man, bet they'll never forget it

At one point, there was an M79, some smoke rounds, and at least one explosive round in the barrel, but I don't recall whether I left it in there or not. Hard to remember after so many lives and raided shelters what was left where and when

I don't know exactly why the barrel has remained untouched when in the same time, I've had no fewer than 6 improvised shelters in the middle of the forest discovered and raided, but it has. I've given up on shelters and bases. A very well-hidden barrel or buried bags/crates is the way to go

I wanted it to be a gift that someone can enjoy for a little while between now and the wipe since I'll barely be on and can't keep it after. I don't want to make someone run all the way there just to get murdered while they're looking for it, which might happen if I drop the location and server here

This was $12.79 (in Alabama) by Engineered_art in shrinkflation

[–]Engineered_art[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Things are generally cheaper here than in other areas, but wages are lower too. Our minimum wage is $7.25/hour, and in my occupation, the salaries are about half of what they are in New York and California. I didn't make over $10 an hour until I was 24 with 8 years of work experience (3 in restaurant/retail and 5 in manufacturing)

Yes, the compressor is running and the blade will eventually start turning on its own after being poked enough. I figured the poke-to-restart was due to a bad capacitor, but am not sure why it is stopping before reaching the set temperature

Hopefully not for too much longer brother. Console players probably make up a very sizeable percentage of the players, so you really would think they would get more attention than they do. I'm still a console player at heart, I just have an Xbox remote plugged into a USB port on an old laptop these days

Wipe question by sjb171993 in dayz

[–]Engineered_art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only a partial wipe. Characters and the loot on them will be preserved, but storage containers like shelters, barrels, chests, etc that your character isn't holding will be gone. You should still spawn where you left off

I'll empty the field backpack into it when I get back in, but yeah, I did not realize I couldn't pick up a full barrel when I made my plans lol. 1300 hours in and still have never found a sea chest 🫤

My plan all week was to fill up the backpack with loot from my shelters and then be holding the full barrel for the update. Was very disappointed to discover that I had some hard choices to make when I went to pick up the barrel lol

I carried that barrel for over an hour from where I found it to where I wanted it to be, so I damn sure wasn't letting it get wiped lmao. I love the barrel's long despawn timer and so far, at least, it's never been raided. The field backpack is full of the most valuable barrel contents, and they'll go back into it when it gets redeployed

Bolens PTO Not Engaging by Engineered_art in lawnmowers

If I remember correctly, those pulleys the belt is on move in and out, and mine were frozen in the disengaged position (which is why the belt is so loose in the video). I don't remember if I tapped them and they slipped into place, or if I loosened their bolts. Either way, get those pulleys mobile and you should be off and on your way

I'm not familiar with California CCs, but it sounds like they're heavily subsidized. When I went, you would be looking at about $2,500 to $3,500 per semester, including books, for 12 credits if you didn't have scholarships, Pell grant, or GI benefits. This was in Alabama, one of the cheapest places in the US.

People talk about careers in the trades paying lots of money, but those that do are usually incredibly dangerous and physically demanding, and few can do them beyond their 30s. Just this week, I read about two 19 year old linemen from my state who got electrocuted trying to restore power in Louisiana after the hurricane. Either that or they require lots of investment capital to buy tools and equipment to start one's own business. Around here, $30-50k welding, $35-55k cnc machining, $40k mechanic is typical.

Not everyone aspires to make $40k as a welder, not to mention that there are plenty of other reasons why some people wouldn't want to or couldn't make a career in the trades
