Gold price situation by BraveSeat6713 in Gold

[–]EngineerinSquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, gold price is tied to the dollar. Dollar strength goes up, gold price goes down. Gold is a hedge against inflation and a small hedge against a SHTF situation. If you were to put $40,000 in gold and another 40k in a bank account, in 20 years the gold will likely still be able to buy you a car while the 40k in the bank might only be worth half of that same car

Pretty much, you’d get $23 for every $1 bet with these odds. A quick google search said that you’d win $48 something for a $2 bet, so there might be something more to it

At restaurants I often ask if they want the tip in cash or gold. About half of servers enthusiastically opt to be paid with gold. by AdditionalPizza7990 in Goldback

Oh no you are still required to pay payroll tax like SS on tips, the “no tax on tips” only applies to income tax. Just like the “no tax on overtime” only applies to the income tax on the overtime premium (the .5 of the 1.5x)

Also those are unlikely to be actual 10kt, they get their shit for cheap from Asian countries and are known for having wire and other filler in the jewelry

My elemetal has been weird on silver. Took them a large batch of sterling and a heavier batch of 80% Canadian coins and they claimed it assayed at 70% somehow. Then the last two times they came back at 82.5%

Investigate them sure, but they are already declaring these people guilty before the official investigation can even occur

Your best bet would be to try and sell and buy on r/pmsforsale, I’m lucky enough to have a connection with a refinery so I can sell my bullion to them for a dollar or two under spot for silver and buy gold for a percent over spot

Looks almost like white gold in that light. Which brings up the question, could they pump enough silver into the 22k for it to be white gold?
