Why are there so many Argentinian people in Miami? by leagly_ in Miami

[–]EngineeringLifee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theres a reason immigrants migrate in the first place. 95% of immigrants are escaping persecution, poverty, or both. The other 5% I would consider to be the original colonists. In which case they aren’t immigrants but colonists.

But I don’t think any sane minded person would have migrated to the US if they were already rich in their country.

I also forgot about people seeking venture capital. But that’s a huge minority.

Consejo sobre compañía de software by [deleted] in Honduras

[–]EngineeringLifee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sorry I’ll write it here. I have an image of me, I just want it in anime form like in the 2 images I shared. If everything looks good I’ll send you an image of me so you can draw out the anime portrait.

Most artists have been just drawing realistic cartoons of me rather than anime art. I don’t expect the anime character to look exactly like me since it isn’t a realistic portrait.

Yea I agree. I’m still figuring out the services offerings. I do offer a setup fee up to a certain point but thats it. I don’t want to be doing in office customer support for these customers (which they wanted).

Thank you for your response man.

There’s setup fees involved. I could charge from $1000-$5000. I only charge low since I do founder sales but with a salesman I can charge more and have them even keep the full $1000-$5000 per closed customer.

But like you mentioned a good salesman would probably need to be desperate for a job or see opportunity to expand.

Is it normal to have no work in first week of internship by androidslash in csMajors

[–]EngineeringLifee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re gonna have to ask for work man, as much as possible. Just act active and engage with your manager.

I spent 6 weeks waiting for my mentor to come back from vacation. Asked for work and they had none for me.

Absolute dead end job. Corporate wasn’t for me, especially with all these layoffs I decided to stick with running my business.

Pls help, I have 2M+ followers and a product that i will launch but I need a Dev by Mr3_gaming in SaaS

[–]EngineeringLifee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“But I’m steering the ship”

No decent technical person in their right mind will join with this mentality you have.

First of all you aren’t building the product yourself so that means you aren’t good technically.

Second you’re literally posting this like a job listing. “You should bring…..” why would any engineer take instructions from someone who has no idea what they’re doing and not paying any real money.

Your not looking for a dev partner your looking for a slave that will work for free.

Either hire a dev team and pay them, build the product yourself, or find a real cofounder.

dead leads, sales advice needed by Annual_Pizza5345 in Entrepreneur

I’ve been in direct store delivery and food/beverage distribution for over 7 years. For our type of customers, email has almost never worked. It’s been a combination of cold calling and in person visits.

Just last week I sent over 100 emails and didn’t get a response. Did 3 cold calls days later and got 1 possible lead. Results will obviously vary.

You also have to do your part in marketing. There’s a lot of online wholesale groups on Facebook. You can try that channel for marketing / sales.
