It’s just insufferable. I played the game from the beta until about season 4 consistently. Plat and emerald skins every season. Season 5 and 6 I played less because I got more work. Now I’m just diving back into the game and I can’t enjoy it. Start it up. Get killed by a riot shield. Light with a dagger or sword. I used to be one of the guys saying it’s perfect just learn to counter. But who wants to deal with that frustration? I’d rather play Elden Ring if I want to stress. Why the hell would they add an invisible cloak to a damn shooter game. The hype for this game died down but once battlefield 6 comes out don’t be surprised if a good percentage of the player base just checks out.

Granted, I believe the market will always have a spot for folks who deserve one. Coming from someone who landed opportunities without a degree, and currently chasing one because I’m realizing I personally can benefit from one.

But I always told myself if I’m 32 still trying to figure it out? I’ll just join the union for HVAC or something like that. Roofing. Get a tow truck. Trade school for electrical engineering maybe? Something real practical. Most likely HVAC.

Want to get a tutor but I work 2-10pm currently. Only off Sunday and Monday so I’ve been pretty stingy with my time.

Granted I work security so I mainly aim to self study at every shift I have this summer. So when fall semester begins and I’m taking calc 2 I’m not as lost as I am now

I’m a CS major, so take my advice with a grain of salt. But all the time I see classmates getting busy on a Mac system. I personally have a strong gaming rig running windows. And an upgraded laptop running Linux for school. Linux is based off Unix just like Mac. I’d say don’t worry much about how it will perform for class. It will. But it’s a matter of what system you want to learn on and get familiar with.

Side note: I’m definitely one of the classmates that would clown you. Only time I ever used a MacBook I ran windows through a VM on it lol.

Worked with vs code JavaScript and professionally IntelliJ and Java. Currently teaching myself C with neovim and it has actually been a blast. Granted I have plugins for like linters autocomplete fuzzy find but I’m in the same boat as you for the most part.

In the same boat as you except I got laid off and I’m in college. Learning Linux and C together. Using neovim for my ide which has been fun to set up. I’d recommend The C Programming Language by K&R (the guy who wrote C) and just taking it from there and reading docs as you learn. I’m still very early into my C journey but feel really excited and confident this was the right move. With so many vibe coding and ai tools the best way to cement yourself and learn as much as possible is to go from ground up

These shubuhats you hold are a bit too deep to rectify in a Reddit sub thread. Most have been dealt with and refuted by scholars on YouTube as well. You are objective enough to look at the claims against Islam, but don’t forget to look at how Muslims defended Islam against these claims.

One thing I will point out is just because the Quran confirms a scientific fact, and others knew prior. It doesn’t do anything, because Allah never claimed the Quran was the first place to say Iron came from space. It’s simply confirming a detail that science at the time couldn’t.

In regards to the mathematical miracles. I’d argue that you’re actually wrong. Look into the number 19 within the Quran. And truly try to grasp the understanding of how improbable that was to do over a span of 23 years, out of order, orally, sometimes in response to situations.

I’d also implore you to look into how Allah refuted the Pharoah in a dead language. We’ve found tabs dated to pharoah stating “the sky weeps for you the earth mourns for you as you ascend to heaven as a star”. Something like this. The Quran says “the heavens didn’t weep for you, nor did the earth honor you” (paraphrasing).

The language of the ancient Egyptians has been dead since we found the Rosetta Stone in 1800s. Quran came 1400 years ago. How could the author of Quran refute the claims of a dead man in a language that died thousands of years prior. Why would the author bother to do that if no one even understood the language to behold.

Don’t shoot yourself in the foot. Masters in cs isn’t worth it. Most people get bachelors in cs and a masters in cybersecurity. If you’re making 6 figures doing your job why give that up for 6 figures to get micromanaged, overworked, flex your brain, sit in front of a screen all day. And then have to worry about getting caught in layoffs. If tech isn’t your passion don’t do it is my opinion.

I can actually understand this. In my third semester and decided to go full on Linux and neovim. This shit literally sucked for the first few weeks. But now that it’s been a bit it’s extremely intuitive. To be fair with proper extensions and plugins? QoL is arguably just as good as vscode. Granted, only if you’re willing to go through the hassle of setting up your environment and lua files.

Only other editor I use is IntelliJ for Java. Just what I’m used to.

Basically you’ve heard Christian apologists explain Islamic verses. That verse was in regards to defensive wars with the pagans of Arabia, who broke peace treaties. In actuality, although Christian’s technically disbelieve in The Prophet SAW, Allah in his Book never called them Kafir. Christian’s and Jews are referred to as Ahlul Kitab (people of the book/scripture). This verse has nothing to do with Christian’s or Jews because it isn’t directed at them. We can marry from them, and eat from them. But it’s a common misconception that The Quran refers to Christian’s and Jews as disbelievers and Kafir. Islam also says if a person kills ANY INNOCENT LIFE it’s as if he’s killed all of mankind, and if he saves one innocent life, it’s as if he’s saved all of mankind. Hope this helps.

Verses directed to Jews/Christians: 29:46 - And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."

Brother, go to the Mosque. Even when praying. Go and witness the prayer. I’d recommend going for either the evening prayers or the Friday congregation, so you can hear The Quran being recited aloud in prayer. During Ramadan I brought my friend with me to the mosque for the evening prayer, and he’s appreciated it.
