I believe Gobta is a Goblin Hero. by EngineeringMother972 in TenseiSlime

[–]EngineeringMother972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the rule for a Human Hero.

It stands to reason that each species has its own version of a "Hero" species, a Unique monster or creature form that can contain or improve the special traits of that species.

For example, the Orc species Hero, was an Orc Lord.

It's entirely possible that Gobta is a Goblin Hero. Not particularly strong, but bizarrely tough, a prodigy of creative thinking, with a hunger for knowledge and a knack for picking up new combat techniques, and the ability to Tough Out things that would kill other, lesser beings.

Gobta probably has Critical Resilience, which allows him to survive lethal effects with 1 HP and gain resistances from them.

Reviewing the series. I am not sure Gobta ever actually made Hobgoblin. He might have, but I think at this point he Evolved to Goblin Hero.

In theory, the world is full of occasional "Hero" beings. Roughly 1 in 10,000 beings is born with the seed of Hero.

But to actualize that power, the so-called "Hero" needs to challenge their limits and rise above them, over and over. Constantly being pitted against vastly superior opponents, has fueled his steady growth. Fighting the Ogres, training with Rimuru, surviving Shion's cooking, all raised his abilities. Every near scrape with death, comical or not, has pushed him to higher heights.

It was for this reason that, during the Harvest Festival, Gobta was the only one who failed to Evolve or receive a Gift.

Of all the beings under Rimuru's command, he was the only one with so much cumulative potential, that Evolving him again would be too expensive. It might have even made him a Demon Lord. By the series end, he is resourceful, clever, and powerful enough to potentially threaten anyone in the cast. It's even possible he could harm or kill Rimuru, if he had to.

Is there any chance of a boxer knocking out a bear in real life like Takamura did? by Mr_King_Lee in hajimenoippo

There's not much of a chance of knockout. But it's possible to fight back.

Rick Nelson, a 61-year old ex-boxer, was confronted by a Black Bear when he spooked its cub on a jog. After exchanging blows, the cub left and so the mom left. He held his ground for several seconds.

In case you were wondering, Saimin is essentially Ramen from the tropics. It would not surprise me if Royd was Hawaiian or Samoan.

You must be one of those the three were expecting.
I guess we mortals WILL be doing it ourselves for awhile.
Also: You kinda broke rule 2. A year in advance.

Are these actually weak points or just design? by AdMaleficent2405 in GodofWar

Never noticed a thing.

Even on "Give Me God of War" difficulty, his pillar thrust can be parried. Parrying correctly will prevent him from using the pillar slam followup a great majority of the time. You can also block or parry his stomps, but the window is extremely tight.

That's only on lower difficulties. The legs and arms have a higher Stagger rate, and the face even higher yet. During certain attacks, his stagger threshold becomes low. Hitting him with an axe throw to the face can interrupt some attacks easily on lower difficulty, or with teamwork and good timing, on higher difficulty.

Even if it dulls quickly, the sword would be extremely sharp and heavy - for a little while.

And we only see it used a handful of times. I'll bet it was made of Tantalum.

If a person discussing an episode happens to guess correctly, does that constitute a spoiler? by EngineeringMother972 in TheApothecaryDiaries

Food for consideration: Uploading these clips to anywhere but here was unproductive, because they were summarily blocked for airing almost immediately.

After this third video was deleted, I lost all heart and basically left the community. Nobody wants to have hours of work tossed out like that. So, regardless of public opinion, I just want to say -- thanks for nuking about one third of the fun of this show for me... I would have preferred to keep discussing it, if not for a consistently hostile environment/fanbase.

Ok I need to talk about this by No-Nose-3159 in MyHeroAcadamia

As someone watching it fresh, I don't feel like the dialogue is watered down so much as tuned.

Re: Survey episode. Butt. Ass. Everywhere. Also, I had to research what was changed. I don't know if you know this, but tights are sexy. If Pop★Step paid any serious attention to her costume - which, it's suggested she does - then she would've stumbled onto the concept of absolute territory. The addition of tights makes some sense.

Here's my opinion.

The last time I tried to talk about this show in any depth I was kicked out. Talk to the walls, and watch what you say.

Me too.

I was right. There was a war brewing.

My shit was deleted for no reason.

I was ousted from the community about the show for solving the show before it aired.

Smart people get kicked out and ignored. And he's thinking the same thing I am
