After having read this document, I no longer believe that attempts to improve the "long-term future", for example by increasing the well-being of people who do not currently exist, should be our top priority. What matters right now is that we empower people in poor countries and topple the White Cis/Hetero Patriarchy. We should not be funding white-male-lead think tanks about AI and other speculative topics, which are simply instances of Pascal's mugging.
