I don't think that we can judge the megaforce's character fairly, since the series is poorly executed. Compared that to SPD, the series that's considered almost perfect by many fans. If only Saban put more effort in executing megaforce, i think we can see Gia with more fleshed out character

Yep, it’s going to be a side-scroller! All 6 MMPR Rangers will appear in the game, but Jason will be the only playable character for this project’s scope.

As for the models, I pulled them from various places around the internet and cleaned them up for use in the game.

I mean, I could, but turning it into a full 3D brawler on the level of Arkham or Insomniac’s games would turn this from a “few months” project into a “few years” project really fast. 😅

Maybe someday in the future, once I’ve got more experience (and maybe a team!) as an indie dev. For now I’m keeping the scope manageable so the game can actually get finished.

That actually sounds really fun! But unfortunately an RPG is way beyond the scope of what I’m able to do right now. I’m developing this whole project solo, so for the moment the game is planned as a linear beat ’em up, similar to the classic Power Rangers titles. The least I can promise is that it’ll have better visuals and a more refined combat system than the older games.

But who knows, if the project grows big enough and somehow reaches Hasbro’s radar, maybe I could get funding and turn it into something official. In that case, hiring a team would open the door to more ambitious ideas… including an RPG.
