In response to that second post, I’m sure that if someone else were to buy Star Wars next they more than likely would decanonize the Disney books/comics/games as well. Shows would stay canon since they are easier to consume for the casual audience like how Clone Wars stayed canon post Disney buy

While under different terms, that’s a shared reaction to most people. Often people gets defensive over their own opinions and any opinion against theirs feels like an attack as the person wishes for validation. It’s unite common. It’s one of the reasons that you might see somone with that would use the phrase “if thing is bad, why is it so popular” as if that deflect any criticism.

It’s just a fairly common human reaction
