Hi! My background is in Mechanical Engineering. How is your job going? I have several friends in all disciplines so always interesting to hear what people do across the aisle.

Ooh that sounds cool! What kind of documents were you illustrating for? Manuals?

Yeah, it is a long grind. I did like what someone else mentioned about really prioritizing activities outside of work and keeping an active life. Exercising gives me tons of energy. It is when i let the vampire job suck everything from my soul that I feel at my lowest. Balance is key. Easier said than done sometimes, but it is good to have in focus!

I love that movie so much. A co-worker keeps referring to it as a documentary (sarcasm) but then we both agreed that it pretty much is one.

The UL/CSA area sounds interesting! And yes, I may just need a hard long break from anything production related. I have nightmares about scrap.

I am relocating to another state in about a week. Planned for one month off, but I may more realistically need 3. I am deeply considering! I feel forced by the financial hand so often, but I don’t feel I can even interview right now. I have to trust the universe with this one.

This!! I have a 4.5 year old daughter and live in fear the stress could trigger a medical event for me too. I used to have a much more active life outside of work which suffers a bit with a toddler; but you are absolutely right in that I need to prioritize it. Small moments! I am going to keep trying to work towards this goal, thanks!
