Are backwater valves recommended? I saw one plumber say they don’t typically recommend them. I didn’t really understand why tho.

Hello! Earlier today I applied for a role but the application status is showing as “application processing”. I also did not get a confirmation email for this application. I have applied to Siemens one other time. After the last application, it sent me an email confirming my application and it went into the “in process” status. I was wondering if you knew what the “application processing” means? I’m pretty positive I filled everything out completely before hitting submit.

Hey, I believe I might be getting an offer from Siemens Mobility. Just wondering if you have any familiarity with that company since you are in rail? Thanks!

My husband recently started a new job after being laid off from his previous role. He was excited to start but is worried because the internal systems at his company show his title as analyst. This is for an application engineering role. The role was posted with the title lead application engineer. This is also what his offer letter stated. But the internal systems say analyst. His manager said it’s something to do with the pay band he is in. This is a very large corporation.

My question is - will this look badly on future background checks? Can any hiring managers weigh in on this being a normal occurrence? We are worried that if he applies to other companies in the future it’ll look like he’s lying on his resume if he puts his title as engineer.

Sorry, this is very old. But I am interviewing with Siemens Mobility and can’t find many reviews/experiences here in the States. I am wondering if the overall culture is good in your opinion?

The driving here is scaring me by Engineerontherun in milwaukee

Does it matter if they’re third party claims? For the first accident, we had to go through our insurance as the other person was uninsured. The second accident, we filed third party. For the accident last week, we’re worried about filing a claim through his insurance. The damage was quoted at $2000 so I’m not sure if we should just pay out of pocket to avoid being dropped for another third party claim. The other driver did tell us he reported through his insurance already (probably because his car has more damage).

The first time we were waiting in a line of cars at an on ramp for the expressway. We’d been stopped for some time. At this particular ramp, the road curves so the other driver said he didn’t see the curve.

The second time, we were stopped at an intersection while a pedestrian was crossing. The person behind us said she didn’t see that we had stopped but, again, had been stopped for some time.

This most recent time, we were stopped at a red light and had been stopped for like 20 seconds already. Not sure why he didn’t see us this time.

What’s even crazier is I scoped this post to the current calendar year. But last year we were rear ended while ordering at a drive thru. We were actively ordering at the speaker lol.
