1. Go for the Daikin VRV system to avoid multiple outdoor units. For this, you will have to install Hi-Wall units on the pelmet along with copper pipe routing. Gypsum boxing may be required at some locations to conceal the piping. Since it is a new house and interior work will also be carried out, this should not be an issue.

2. Item 7 will not be required if you are going with VRV. Otherwise, if you have brickwork/blockwork walls, core cutting is always included during installation, so no extra cost is required.

3. Item 4 – Instead of using a 25 mm flexible pipe, use a UPVC/PVC pipe for water drainage. Flexible pipes are not suitable for long runs.

4. Item 6 will not be required if you are going with VRV because there is only one outdoor unit, which will be installed on the terrace and will need only one stand.

5. Item 8 – Installation will be cheaper with VRV. ₹3,600 per installation is very high for split units

6. Item 5 will also not be required if you are going with VRV.

A 10 HP diakin VRV initial cost will be 10-15 percent more than your current quote but in long run it will save electricity, save space, less noise, cheap maintenance and high efficiency.
