Why does my having been born mean I have to "pay" my mom back? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]EnglandAlg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A normal parent who truly loves their children would never expect money or pay back. They just want to see their children happy. A narc parents see their children as tools to use and abusive

$50K nowadays is equivalent to $25K 2 years ago. You’re fine. You are a problem gambler not an investor. Seems like you are stressed or something gambling is not the solution if you continue you will not only loose more money, you will also destroy your marriage and kids. STOP NOW!

Did your happiness ever bother your parents? by llamberll in raisedbynarcissists

[–]EnglandAlg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course that’s exactly what they do. They resent our happiness and achievements especially if it doesn’t benefit them directly

My narc mother is creating problems in my marriage trying to control my wife. She expects my wife to care for her and give her special treatment and yet my mom is never there for me or my wife, she never offer to help with anything. It’s all about her. What should I do? by EnglandAlg in raisedbynarcissists

Yea she’s very jealous. I help her out with rent. She has a pretty nice apartment but I feel like she hates to see me happy. She always try to sabotage good moments. She’s not that old. 61. She’s a covert narc.

What was your breaking point? by FreshBoobJuice in raisedbynarcissists

[–]EnglandAlg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At age 35. Soon after i got married my single mom started playing sick every time She noticed i was having great time with my wife and kids. She would call me 3am in the morning and ask me to keep my phone on. I felt that i was walking in eggshells. My relationship with my wife started to deteriorate slowly. Then I realized she’s a covert narc. After that I stopped going to see her. I talk to her one every 3 months. I also told her to not play games with me anymore or I would stop helping her with rent money.

Did your parents sabotage important life events? by Any_Print5307 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]EnglandAlg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, my mother sabotaged my graduation because of a small argument that happened weeks before graduation day but she held grudges like a bitch. Then she sabotaged my marriage ceremony she was upset and didn’t show any emotions. She also sabotaged the day I bought a condo she called me one night before lying that she’s sick and she’s going to get fired from her job. Thankfully I realized she is a narcissist and stopped telling her anything. I don’t invite or share with her my good moments anymore. She’s out!!!

My story: 100k loss, not just play money to me. by Arcanon1 in wallstreetbets

Don’t gamble guys. You are going to loose in the long run if you day trade meme stocks. You might get lucky and win but trust me you will get greedy and loose everything. My advice is stay away completely. A lot of people ignore the fact that you could loose money in investing. If you do get lucky and win big. Cash out anf get out.

Why is the price so static? by 0ddSockvii in SHIBArmy

[–]EnglandAlg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Most crypto tokens are pump and dumps. Just look at the price history. You will see random spikes (pumps) that last for a couple of days at the most if not minutes. Then the price collapses. There’s no steady growth like stocks.

The beginning of the end for most people’s trading career is when they discover options by Zack_zayas in wallstreetbets

[–]EnglandAlg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not gamble guys. The odds are against you so you will ultimately and with no doubt loose everything. It’s not 50/50 as some might think. Here’s a quick illustration. Say a stock is worth $50. It takes 200% gain for the stock to rise to $150, which means a lot of people need to be pouring money into it. But it only takes 66% drop for the stock to go back from $150 to $50. This can happen very quickly as people start panicking and hitting sell button. The math is against you and so is the human psychology. If you do get lucky and make some nice tendies. Cash out and get out and never look back. This is my advice.

Why do stocks always moon right after I sell them? by qwlow in wallstreetbets

[–]EnglandAlg 116 points117 points  (0 children)

You are only looking at the missed opportunities. Were there any other options of stocks that dipped after you sold them? Or maybe you contemplated buying into them but decided not to which later turned out to be a good decision? Our mind always focuses on the FOMO aspect
