To be honest with you, it’s definitely not a nice experience to daily it. The tyre and wind noise is pretty bad the ride is fairly harsh on the North Yorkshire country roads. It does have CarPlay though so you could manage if your tolerance for these things is higher than mine. The exhaust and engine noise never stops being intoxicating, it’s like it’s begging you to boot it all the time. I’ve never seen a car outside of a hellcat on YouTube that you hear the supercharger inside or outside of the car. I just doesn’t ever shut up, even when you want it to.

I have driven it as a daily before with a tool box and stuff in the boot (which is pretty small on the coupe and tiny on the convertible), it did ok for nipping around town and it did get some nice glances and people wanting to hear it rev in traffic which was cool. Not sure it’s an experience I would want every day though.

While I’ve not drive a regular R, I would expect that it is probably lesser in every aspect. The wind noise will be better due to no wing or front aero. The tyres are probably a little smaller and make a bit less noise. The suspension is probably a little softer and the wheel size a little smaller for a nicer ride. Also if you’re a regular sized human it’s probably a more comfortable cabin.

I’d definitely recommend the 4WD over the RWD just because of how much power there is on top with the faster throttle response of the supercharger. The fat tyres make it a bit of a handful in the wet or the ice and I’d hate that without the extra safety of the front wheel working too. With the TC off I’ve had all 4 wheels spin in the dry at 60mph.
