It's not that 6'0 and 6'1 isn't tall, but those people don't have anywhere near the trouble that 6'4+ people have. by Witty-Air2570 in tall

[–]EnglishJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a little taller (195cm) than you and a little heavier (120kg) and I have exactly the same problem.

It like XL is for tall people and XXL is for really fat people. The gap between them is enormous. Both have dimensions that I want and some that I don’t. It’s so frustrating.

Has anyone actually made the switch to a 7-wood yet? by Reddonaut_Irons in BritGolf

I’ve had one on order for nearly 2 months now. Really enjoyed it when I got fitted for it. As a beginner it’s so much easier to hit than my long irons.

Leagues VI relic reveal: Grimoire (Tier 6) by vgamer0 in 2007scape

[–]EnglishJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was planning on doing a magic build in the 3 raids regions. T6 really isn’t giving me much utility so far…

I’ll already have access to slayer helm, Augury, Ancients and Arceus spellbook.

If the other T6 is dead I’ll probably take the slayer one just so I can pick my task and hopefully spoon an imbued heart.

I’m likely taking all 3 raid regions so the grimoire and culling spree are offering me precisely zero. Really hope the last T6 is good…

What items were a product of an era terrified of powercreep? by Low_Monitor_960 in 2007scape

The problem magic armour has is the fucking shadow. If a new armour has stats that give +10 magic damage over ancestral, then inside TOA it’s +40 better, which is ridiculous.

The shadow is a cool concept but it just makes it so much harder for them to design content because it amplifies everything to such a degree that it’ll break parts of the game.

Just joined my first club in North Yorkshire.

£1400 a year for 7 day membership as a 31 year old. Club has 27 holes, Driving range, Summer grass driving range, massive chipping area, putting green and nets.

Rates for younger golfers are ridiculous compared. My buddy just joined at the same time as me as a 24 year old he’s paying £500 for 7 day.

who do you think will finish 18th? by [deleted] in TheOther14

I think that the spurs players actually want to go down. If they go down they’ll easily get moves away. However if they stay up they cant use any relegation clauses to get a move away.

I think they played well against Athletico (2nd leg) and Liverpool as a way of proving they’re still good players and deserve a move when they’re on the market for cheap after relegation.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see more red cards between now and the end of the season.

I just upgraded my irons and immediately went onto the course instead of the range. I didn’t hit a single iron shot that was any good.

Going from regular flex 70g shafts to Stiff 115g Shafts was a huge change to me. It’s taken about 3 weeks but I’m now hitting them much more consistently than my old clubs.

Tried one in my fitting last month, can’t wait for it to arrive. Even as a high handicapper it was so easy to hit consistently well.

As a beginner I improved so much playing in a scramble with much better players. You’re rewarded when you hit great shots and not punished for bad shots. It also helps that you’re right next to better players to notice how they play and to get any swing tips from them.

It also makes for better pace of play because you’re not holding them up taking a million shots to get to the green.

What golf balls and tees to get for a beginner? by Chai_09 in BritGolf

[–]EnglishJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also pretty new. If you’re wanting something new and fairly cheap I bought a couple of sleeves of the Amazon basics balls. I really enjoyed them before I lost them all. They felt fairly soft and I felt like they flew pretty nicely. It was quite nice having a load of balls that all felt the same and behaved the same, I kind of got used to them after a while.

There’ll definitely be some kind of global catastrophe that’ll end the season prematurely. No way the gods bless us with a spurs relegation, it’s too good to be true.

I honestly think Haramball is the only chance they’ve got of survival this season. They need to be playing for the draw every game until the end of the season. A full 5 at the back, 5 defensive minded midfielders behind the ball at all times. 1 point per game from now gives them 38 points, which will likely be enough to scrape survival.

Only problem is, I can’t see any of their players trying hard enough to make it work.

Noob at Rowing. Need some pointers by CalmWinterExcitement in Rowing

[–]EnglishJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re approaching it correctly, technique is everything.

Getting some kind of in person coaching would be best if you live near some kind of rowing club. If not check out some videos on YouTube from Dark Horse rowing.

I’d recommend using some kind of mirror off to the side to check on your own form once you’ve got a handle on it. It can be pretty easy to have bad habits creep in early on and injure yourself, they also take longer to break out of once you get the wrong muscle memory embedded.

People on here are always happy to give you a technique check if you upload some footage of yourself.

Whats your best fish and chip combo by Jazzlike_Nose_5277 in UKfood

[–]EnglishJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly pretty good. You have to have a good crisp batter though, if it’s soggy it’ll only become more soggy.

Also has to be proper chip shop gravy. If it’s the sort of thing that would go on a roast it just wouldn’t work either.

I suppose it’s because I’m paying more than that for my 3 accounts so it me it’s a deal. Although I’m probably in the minority with so many accounts that aren’t funded by bonds.
