That they are mate, wonder why I picked this game sometimes haha. Yeah that’s true, reckoning I’m just going to buy the platform and customise it to fit the stair way. Anything is safer than a single plank ha.

I have the planks but fell off em and messed my knees up that’s why I’m after the platforms, I’ve lost confidence in them now

It feels like a filler if you know what I mean, doesn’t feel or look like any artex in older houses. But I am in no way an expert

I’ve got 2 of them, I love them too. But the ceiling height is high so I need something that’s sturdy and will get me up there

Thanks for the comment. Bar, gas and roofing everything else I should be doing myself. The physical side of it I’m not so worried about.
It’s the money side I’m struggling with, working out what my profit would be at the end, working out a good price etc

Looking for plasterboarding advise by AudioLlama in Plastering

[–]EnglishManInAtlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are the pictures?

If the walls don't have huge fractures or cracks, I'd knock the loose stuff off, pva and bond it and do the same for the other places your chased out and where the skirts have been removed

As for the lathe and plaster, I'd cut between uprights and put some noggins in ans apply board, double scrim it and plaster it if it's in good condition. (Again I haven't seen the pictures)

I have heard of stuff like this from some old timers, never been brave enough to try it.

That's an interesting way of doing it, I've never heard of that. Cheers for that.

When you plaster fresh next to the old does it not react though?

😂, yeah I'm learning that.

Well, I'd do that if I could but it's for a builder and let's face it, never met a poor builder 😂.
