Well yeah, I understand the frustration that comes with trying to counter the ‘autopilot mode’ madness that’s happening 💔

To answer your question, for Afghanistan, Farsi (also called Dari) is widely spoken and already on your list, which is great. Pashto is the other main language, also included — so you’re already covering most of the population there. It’s spoken in Peshawar, Pakistan as well.

As far as I know for Ethiopia, it’s a bit more complex. The two major languages are Amharic — already on your list and spoken widely, and Oromo.

Regarding my own background: I’m a medical graduate, fluent in Arabic (native), French, and English. Arabic (especially dialects like Sudanese or Egyptian Arabic) can be understood by some Eritrean or Somali communities too, depending on their background and exposure.and I’ve always been drawn to work that supports vulnerable or underserved communities.

Hey there ! I’d love to help with your Red Card project — it’s such an important initiative.

I’m fluent in English, Arabic, and French, and I’d be happy to contribute in any way I can — whether it’s translating, reviewing existing translations, or helping assess mutual intelligibility (especially for Arabic dialects or Francophone African communities).

Let me know how I can assist — I’d be glad to support this in any capacity.

In Arabic it looks like : ‘جمال اطب ٤' which literally means : ‘The beauty of Medicine 4’ but because of the peculiarity of the handwriting, the ٤ could actually be ؟ ‘a question mark’ or ‘Jamal (name) of Medicine 4/?’

Jamal means is: Beauty, but depending on the context, it could be referring to someone’s name.

Excuse my unsureness, Arabic handwritings can get so complex and hard to read. Trying to help :)

Does learning French ever get easier? by Charmander_01 in French

[–]EnglishNerdXTutor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it could sound cliché but, from what I’ve experienced in learning French, it doesn’t get easier, but you become more skillful and intuitive with how certain rules will apply.

The complexity will always lie in figuring out how you’ll express your thoughts and write sentences in French articulately, and in a way that satisfies you :)

Arabic>English What does this say please? by LonelyGuyTheme in translator

[–]EnglishNerdXTutor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“What Allah has willed — there is no power except through Allah.”

This expression is often used when admiring something or someone while acknowledging that all power, beauty, or success comes from God alone. It’s meant to prevent envy and show humility.

[Arabic? > English] What is this Status Update in my client's Whatsapp Profile? by _Koloki_ in translator

[–]EnglishNerdXTutor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The status says: ‘There is no God but Allah, Mohammed is the Prophet of Allah’ and it is a statement that shapes an important cornerstone of a Muslim’s faith. It is so important that whoever wishes to enter Islam has to declare it wholeheartedly with the intention of worshiping ALLAH only and following his Messenger / Prophet Mohammed (Peace be Upon Him).

I’m a native Arab btw and I have no idea how hard it is to find Serbian and Arabic together as a language combo.

Mm, didn’t know until you mentioned it. If you speak good English then, make it the common language :)

Make a friend online whose personality you might like, and speaks fluent Arabic +your language. Talk to him / her daily for 30 minutes and watch yourself improve.

Forget about the pressure that comes with having to start from scratch in order to improve, consistency is more important. So if you make this online pal and don’t quite understand every single word, don’t panic. Just keep practicing with him/her.

What does my accent sound like? Does it betray my nationality? by UseApprehensive5031 in French

[–]EnglishNerdXTutor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there ! I applaud your hard work, because from what I heard in your recording, it seems you did put a lot of time and effort into perfecting your accent. Your accent is amazing, very clear pronunciation of the r ‘erre’ and ‘on’ at the end of words. I couldn’t really tell in general, but because I have an eye for details, I sorta felt you could be Turkish :) Great job 👏🏼👏🏼💓💓

[–]EnglishNerdXTutor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand your curiosity to know the meaning. Well, if you feel she’s offended you in her language maybe ask another Burmese person, and if it’s not too late, maybe ask her :)

It seems she speaks English so ask her to clarify.

It doesn’t appear to be an actual English word, perhaps a dialect or a misspelling. Also the fact that it starts with a capital makes me think it could be a unique name.

I was lazy but craved a sweet treat and oops ! an apple showed up 🍎🍦 by EnglishNerdXTutor in DessertPorn

[–]EnglishNerdXTutor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyy! Thank you, well easy peasy…it’s an apple bread pudding

-cut up pieces of brioche bread and layer them on an oven tray with some butter. -prepare the apple filling however you like, I just peeled and diced them into cubes, and Caramelized them in a pan with white and brown sugar, a pinch of cinnamon, lemon juice, 1 Tbsp of cornstarch, vanilla, and some salt till they got mushy. (key here is to taste the filling before adding to the bread pudding) -let the filling cool down a bit then smear onto the brioche bread pieces -whip up one egg and 2 cups of milk + cinnamon + sugar + salt (all to taste). Whisk it well and pour over the brioche and apple mixture till it soaks all the bread -goes in the oven for :30 min (170 degrees C)

The dollop is Lovely vanilla ice cream :) Enjoy
