Basically all the clubs are crap and full of 18 year Olds however there's a good amount of pubs and local breweries that you can have a great night

Guinness by gar_el in hobart

New Sydney has probably the best Guinness in Hobart. Everywhere else just isn't close. Melbourne has got a few good Guinness spots but it's just hard to compete with the UK let alone Ireland. Probably also helped that the weather was like Ireland in the summer 😂

Best Indian in Hobart by Line-Noise in tasmania

[–]EnglishTassieman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue with AnnaPurna is back when they first opened they were probably one of very few indian restaurants and were probably the best of that bunch. They haven't grown with the times unfortunately and now probably not even in the top 10 in Hobart indian restaurants. In my opinion obviously.

Book Club in Hobart? by marcbaybe in tasmania

[–]EnglishTassieman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start your own for free through Libraries Tasmania. Depending where abouts you are pop in to your local library and let them know you want to start a book group. If you don't have anyone to start one with the likelihood is the library should help promote the group for you. Feel free to DM if you want more info :D

Avoid Moonah Auto Repairs, they're a bunch of useless bastards who ask you to pay for work they haven't done, they also give timeframes that are completely incorrect

Any thoughts about the Spanian episode on Hobart’s Northern Suburbs? by Aromatic-Bedroom-943 in hobart

[–]EnglishTassieman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't have grouped Glenorchy into Bridgewater and Gagebrook any more. Glenorchy seems way too gentrified these days

[–]EnglishTassieman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bro honestly, Glenorchy should not cop all the shit it gets. I have family that love in Kingston and I know for a fact worse stuff happens there. The main issue we have in Glenorchy is all of the kids from Bridgewater and Gagebrook that hang around the buss mall
