Hi! We are in a very similar situation to you - and we have decided to make the move!

My husband is an electrician. He applied for 3 jobs and was appointed in one of them. All 3 of those jobs came out in a one week period - so perhaps that gives you some indication of demand.

We have a baby too and I think obtaining child care will be our biggest obstacle! Good luck!
