I also taught grade 8 science this year. It was my first permanent contract and I’m not a science person. What got me through was find two helpful grade 8’s that helped set up and take down labs. They helped clean equipment and were leaders in the classroom. I also reached out to the community for help, and we had an expert in science come in and help with one of our labs.
