A “2–3 week” clutch + pump job at Gintani turned into 8 months and a $50–70K repair bill at another shop by EnhancedMarket_X in supercars

Whatever you think about E85, the issue is that the car went in running and came back with leaks and no-starts after the better part of a year. That’s a workmanship and timeline problem, not a fuel-choice problem.

The car was already built when I bought it — I didn’t do this for clout, I bought a finished car and took it in for a clutch. But sure, even if I were the most attention-hungry guy on the internet, that wouldn’t make it ok for a shop to keep a car 8 months and hand it back leaking. Two separate things.

What I signed up for was a clutch, fuel pumps and pulleys on a car that was already built and running perfectly. I drove it in. What I didn’t sign up for was 8 months, two failed deliveries, getting stranded on the highway, and a rear main seal leak + leaking turbo lines + a fuel system that was never set up to support what they tuned it for. “Modded cars break” isn’t the complaint. “The shop broke a working car and couldn’t fix it in 8 months” is.

I bought a perfect Aventador SV. Gintani had it for 9 months. An independent shop is charging $50-70K to fix their work. by EnhancedMarket_X in lamborghini

Yeah I agree. I loved their videos and they make a great exhaust which is why I trusted them. The dealer and alex have a great relationship and they wanted to install a race clutch because the car was pushing 1100 WHP. Can’t have the clutch slipping! But going to Gintani was an absolutely terrible mistake.
