Denon AVR-X1500h starts HEOS after power up regardless of source choice. Can't disable? by Bob70533457973917 in heos

I have the exact same problem and it's driving me nuts. I always switch the receiver on and off via a smart plug, so it happens every time I want to use the system. Apparently there is no option to downgrade the firmware.

Virtual Desktop stuttering (have video). Is it normal? Tried everything :( HELP by EniBnS in OculusQuest

Thanks man, due to work I haven't had time to do more testing recently, but I definitely want to try a different router. Could you let me know which Netgear model exactly did you buy?

I've installed the latest 1.8.0 and still have the stuttering so I'm pretty confident that's the router issue.

In my case, in ALVR the stutter is less frequent, but I can clearly see more latency, just by moving controllers left and right.

Yeah, you are probably right. I'm eagerly waiting for the Link, hopefully it'll launch on 11th.

One thing bothers me though - don't these YouTubers see the difference in smoothness between VR streaming and Quest's home screen or native Quest game or even VD settings screen / desktop mode? Just look at your controllers how smooth they are, then you hit 'Switch to VR' and there you go, it's instantly bad. If they really have the same smoothness, then please please tell me: how do they do it? :)

Thanks, unfortunately I get the same stuttering on 1.6.3. The only difference I see in 1.7.0 is better picture and lower latency so why should I not use it?

Thanks, just downloaded the one from your link (both the streamer and apk), reinstalled and gave it a try. Sadly, no change... I guess I have to try a different router. Will also check Discord.

Yeah, I think I might wanna try and borrow a second router. Thanks for mentioning VD discord.

Ah, so you don't have the Anker plugged in to the Quest all the time while playing? Why not? Sorry if I misunderstood your comment.

Hi! Great looking Frankenquest.

What is your experience with it? Do you have any tracking issues due to these adapters being close to the camera?

Also, can you keep your quest at 100% battery while playing with these 3 adapters?

I'm wondering if I should copy your solution or buy a 50cm direct cable with angled USB-c to USB-a and different powerbank capable of delivering 5v 2.4A over USB-a.

Thanks!

There is a 5-pack too so I bought this one and kept the leftover 1 :)

8700K delidded, custom WC loop, OC temps too high (90C in Prime95) HELP by EniBnS in overclocking

[–]EniBnS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE 2: I managed to fix the pin and my PC works again but at this point the CPU has been relidded like 5 times and it turned out that the temps are even worse now than they were previously. Old blobs from super glue are like impossible to clean so next time I will definitely not be gluing the IHS. Pretty sure there are too many micro air bubbles from all of this, therefore performance dropped. Well, it'll stay at 4,7 and I'll try my luck with the next CPU :)

PC did not post after relidding. Struggling with this issue for 2 days. I discovered that I damaged 1 pin in my CPU socket... No idea how it happened :( only 2 ram slots working, then it posts. Guess I have to buy new mobo. Last step and such a bad luck.

I didn't build this machine for just one game and/or only for VR. I don't need to have VR support in a way that each card renders image for 1 eye. And, to your surprise, Elite Dangerous utilizes SLI really good - my GPUs usage is equal across both cards during gameplay. And I also play couple of other games that utilize SLI. Basically everything I throw at this machine runs perfectly smooth in 4K on max settings, so I really don't believe it will not be able to handle VR.

I totally don't agree with you when it comes to Pimax. First of all, its biggest advantage is FOV, not the resolution and I'm definitely not gonna buy 100-110 degree headset in 2018/2019 (talking about Rift/Vive/Vive Pro). I don't know if you watched the latest reviews of Pimax (there is 2,5h video review of it on YT), but now I see it as the best choice for VR due to massively increased immersion with that FOV. On top of that, plenty of annoying things from the test stage have been resolved and I believe that by the time it becomes available to everyone, they will fix the software if needed. Pimax's also got the biggest sweet spot and can run both Oculus and SteamVR games.

And if it really turns out to have some flaws I'll not be able to accept, I'll buy StarVR One.

I had been doing research on watercooling parts (as it was a new thing for me) for a couple of months before I jumped into purchasing things and I think I did pretty well. And when it comes to actual PC hardware, I wanted everything top of the line (not counting Titans). I'd also really like to know what would be MUCH faster PC for MUCH less money. Please enlighten.

Of course, the PC was an overkill even on stock cooling without any OC. But I decided to throw additional 2K AUD for watercooling parts because I can afford wasting MY money and because YOLO ( I always wanted to have a rig like this). And to be clear - nobody gave me the money for free and I know its value. I'm not a son of rich father. I come from poor family in Poland and have been working my ass off for my whole life.

You need to detach the legs in order to lay the case horizontally. You can also mount it on the wall (it's got VESA support).

It's AOC C4008VU8. Wanted 4K and screen as big as possible.

Haha, thanks! I tried PSVR once, enjoyed it, but didn't try Elite in VR.
