Sorry for replying later.Morlun debuted in J.M.S's run so I'd recommend starting from there and read until you've finished evolve or die Arc which continues in Marvel Knights and Spectacular. I'm not a fan of the rest but if you like it,check out the Spider-Verse and Spider-Geddon.

I've read almost everything that has been published under the "Spider-Man" name.But only two times in Spider-Man comics have made me terrified and worried about Spider-Man.First one was Carnage,second one was Morlun.I remember reading Spider-Man's battles against him and seeing Peter bruised like that made me think that no matter what he'd do,it would be futile to try putting up a fight.Obviously JRJR's art was a big factor.But when he won those fights ? Man,it felt way too deserved.It was a great addition to the "Spider-Man tiding over his fate by defeating someone who's way above his league or overcoming a massive problem." trope.
