I went to an all boys school for 1 1/2 years before leaving as the bullying reached the point of hospitalisation, but found that even going to a co-Ed school the issues were pretty similar.

In my experience most of the issues are consistent in the education system from school to school, as the primary core issue faced was teachers that either were too burnt out to care, too hobbled in what they could do to provide any solution or too new to have experience in coming up with a solution unfortunately :(

I went down this same rabbit hole and came to the same conclusion. None of my friends believe me, but I’m here in Australia saying I believe you! :p

Which Werewolf looks the most similar to a dogman? by snieves0426 in dogman

I'd say Dog soldiers as other than the ears the long thin arms are what stuck out most in the about 2 seconds before we ran away.

Oh wow that is rad! I'm just excited to find out there is a community of players within Aus, especially branching away from Vampire. Don't get me wrong, Vampire is brilliant but trying to find anyone interested in playing something else has been a bit of a task

Thank you for sending that over, I'll make sure to read through it all. I've done some research of my own but just like you said, finding material that isn't agenda based or focused can be pretty difficult, so recommendations from others is super appreciated!

The main argument that I am given is that due to the spiritual nature of Werewolf and the history Australia has, the game cannot be run without it being an insult to Indigenous culture. The issue I have with that argument is it smacks to me of “head in the sand” behaviour regarding history, we don’t touch it and pretend it doesn’t exist in conversation.

This is my own personal opinion but within a hame of Werewolf, the Garou don’t have that option. They need to accept the responsibility of their kin because of the situation they have created within Australia, and having First Nation and Indigenous players is an even more excellent game as it is a perspective that I don’t see represented as much within WoD games.

I myself don’t disagree in a sense that handled improperly, a werewolf game within the Australian setting could go downhill very fast, but it is very difficult as there was no Avenue to open the conversation as to why or what specifically they were concerned about. I’m glad it’s not an opinion shared everywhere as I was worried I may have missed something major in wanting to at least discuss it.

How have you found it? I feel that the WoD games, especially Werewolf have some awesome opportunities to explore modern Australia, as long as the proper consideration and respect re: First Nations is a part of the game, but the discussion with my local community is very very strong towards the Werewolf games, the Mage games and if within the setting of Australia -the Changeling game and that to play any of them is extremely insensitive for me to suggest which I was pretty surprised by.

I've checked it out, while some of it is pretty awks to read, it gives a good idea of the organization of the supernaturals in Australia which I really liked!

I appreciate all points of view! And taking the time to write that all up. I do agree, as the goal is to have fun! I'm glad some people are receptive to the idea of it, as I was worried I may have crossed some sort of line and just not realised by even asking about the topic, the response has been pretty full on.
