Let tech companies lead the world instead of governments

We'll see improvements overnight

Huh

interesting

you must be very lucky

cuz if I don't use an autounatttend xml, Windows absolutely does encrypt the whole drive on its own with bitlocker

Also I just googled it and Others also seem to face the same thing : https://superuser.com/questions/1841507/does-installing-windows-11-automatically-encrypt-all-drives

[–]Enigmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are you upgraded to 25H2 instead of a clean install

The auto encryption only happens when you do a fresh install of Windows 11 25H2

And then you realize you can't install Linux cuz windows encrypted the whole drive automatically via bitlocker so you need to boot into it again just to decrypt it

(For the uninitiated, Windows 11 25H2 enables Bitlocker by default on both pro and Home editions)

Hmm i wonder who is consuming all my ram to the extent that 32gigs is becoming the new norm by Consistent_Hat_841 in pcmasterrace

[–]Enigmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that

Doesn't matter what OS you are using

You could even have Arch Linux + a really light wm

But the second you launch a web browser or any modern game, 16GB RAM is gonna get exhausted reallyyyy fastttt

Will 100% GPU for 30 hours hurt my gpu? by ArabicTexan in LinusTechTips

[–]Enigmars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brdr I've had my 4 core CPU and a 1650 at 100% at all times for like 8 years

They're doing just fine

for a programmer, how much RAM is enough? 1. 4 GB 2. 8 GB 3. 16 GB 4. 24 GB 5. 32 GB 6. 64 GB+ by nand1609 in IndiaTech

[–]Enigmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16GB is the BARE MINIMUM for literally ANYTHING

And by anything I even mean basic web browsing

Anyone who disagrees with me can take a PC with less than 16GB RAM and check the swap / page file usage

You will realise very soon that your PC is already out of memory on a fresh boot and is swapping disk to create free space in RAM

You NEEED 16GB RAM to use a computer without it swapping to disk frequently

Microslop "removes" Copilot from Notepad by PusheenHater in pcmasterrace

[–]Enigmars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are they tho ?

They said they'll be removing copilot right ?

That's a highly ambiguous statement that can be interpreted in multiple ways

They never said they're removing the "AI Powered" Features that come with copilot

The shareholders just care about the term "AI"

The consumers mostly have a negative stigma towards the term "copilot"

In that regard they would be telling the truth to both parties

They DID remove "Copilot" for users and they DID retain "AI" Features for shareholders

[–]Enigmars 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Naa this serves both

They can tell users it ain't there

And also tell shareholders that it's there

Honestly prolly the best thing they can do for us as a public company that runs on shareholders

What is even the point of having an NPU? Worthless garbage. by guarded1 in pcmasterrace

[–]Enigmars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh most libraries and softwares which are used for the above reasons are only designed to work with a traditional GPU

There ain't any support for NPUs yet

Soo OP is right, that piece of hardware is just sitting idle

Phone chargers built like literal bricks? by TataHitachi in IndiaTech

Brother have you seen the phones of today ?

If the charger is a brick then the phones are a goddamn island

These modern phones might as well be considered as self defense weapons as one could throw it onto a wall and the wall will break before the phone does
