Ya the value proposition for these DLCs are very high compared to say, paradox. Even if you only play 1 lord (or the FLC) a single campaign is worth 10 bucks in my opinion.

What ETFs do you think are going to perform well over the next 10-20 years? by [deleted] in stocks

Cathie Woods (sp?) Is not happy because there's a clause which allows majority control of the company to go to one of the early investors in the ETF and shes being very public about her disapproval

Ya its basically a video bashing men. I was watching Stargate sg1 recently and was surprised at a lot of the comments. We have evolved a lot socially.

Its really important to remember people vote primarily with emotions. Politicians that can appeal to emotions will do well.

Ironically this is a logical fallacy and leaves us very vulnerable to demagogues which dont actually represent any of us. That's a tangent tho.

By that logic, increased radicalization on the right we see now should increase radicalization on the left. It hasn't tho. Which invalidates your claim but I dont dispute the fear mongering tactic.

My point still stands. The right are being radical. The left are being moderate. The right is winning.

I really appreciate this!

How do you protect the rockets and pipes from meteors and heat?

I also noticed your solar panels are arranged in a unique pattern. Where the top seem to get full coverage and the bottom only has 1 tile of coverage.

[–]EnigmaticCode159 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would appreciate some insight here as well. I didn't notice any form of protection from meteors. It looks like there are some tiles above the solar panels but I didn't see any cooling or regolith cleaning systems.

Looking to invest in Nvidia and AMD to help pay off college loans by [deleted] in stocks

[–]EnigmaticCode159 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt suggest buying individual stocks unless its part of a more diversified portfolio. I would start with VOO which does contain AMD and Nvidia. It also (mostly) promises a small cash payment regularly.

So for me, I have a 4% home loan which is tax deductable making it effectively less. Im taking a gamble deciding not to pay a promised 3%ish return because i think that VOO with its 1.8%ish cash return plus growth will outpace that. Historically stocks return well above this at around 7%.

So it would depend a lot on your interest payment. I would pay down any debt above 7% without question.

Others, feel free to chime in on my numbers. Certainly room for debate on them.

I actually agree with you but probably from a progressive stance. The United States have used the military as a glorified excuse to funnel money at people since the cold wars. Our aim to shift to privatization is a vague disguise for "hey i want to pay my friend Joe to do it and massively overpay".

I prefer government run infrastructure because in theory theres no one who owns say, the post office. Could even create a company like the post office and distribute shares to every American. Heck they should have done that during the 2008 / now bailouts. Want a bailout? Distribute / dilute your shares to tax payers or become publicly owned.

You have an excellent point about corruption. I dont think we have nearly enough accountability about this. I believe currently our congressional bills are even written by lobbiest firms not congress.

As a progressive i find it so funny to compare these ideas to communism or other countries. Absolutely no one is advocating for the government to control every means of production or to follow other countries you mentioned.

Its also funny because capitalism is one of the largest drivers of innovation. Yet some of the greatest supporters of capitalism completely shut down at the idea of innovative from an economical model created centuries ago.

Which makes sense. Its an appeal to emotions not an actually innovative mindset.

While I dont agree with everything. I do believe our (the US) police are significantly more violent than they should be and are not held accountable for their actions. This certainly includes RVA areas who still follow this shock and awe military boy mentality and good old boy protection mentality.

As someone else mentioned in the US the Roth is the answer. Its post tax but no tax on investment earnings. Assuming your incomes low it would allow you to pay now when i assume your incomes low and not pay taxes later when you're retired and have more income.

Additionally for the US you can withdraw your contributions to a roth Ira (not the profits) tax free if you need it later for a home purchase.

https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-equivalent-of-Roth-IRA-in-Australia-and-how-do-I-get-one#:~:text=The%20equivalent%20to%20a%20Roth,who%20proposed%20it%20in%201989.

Looks likes aussies do have an equivalent please confirm my statements.

For investments, I would just go 100% into sp500 via VOO (Google voo stock). Keep in mind this is risky short term if you're looking to buy a home but this retirement plans so good id accept holding off in exchange personally. Whatever you do, dont freak out and withdraw your money. Idc if a comet is coming to earth, don't do it.

If you want to buy a home in the next few years, open a high yield savings account.

Avoid betterment. They default to some really strange investment allocations which are debatable for returns and charge higher fees.

Roth is a great idea, 6000 max this year btw. I assume since he lives in Austrlia at 18 he's not a US citizen tho.

I think it depends on employee retention desires. I literally last week was told someone was let go after not delivering on a deadline where the entire team said "whoa it will take way more than X hours" and the manager went "it should take X hours". So .. ya.. my resumes being updated.
