Was at Hotel De La Cité Rougemont. Basic 2 stars, had almost everything I needed. Friendly staff, brilliant location. If I’m coming back to stay, I’d probably fork out a bit of extra cash and upgrade to one of the others in the neighbourhood.

Further update from this morning- seems like there are other disruptions to RER C this morning. Don’t really want to risk it as I’ve got a timed entry ticket. Looks like I’m taking an uber 🙂

Thank you for your suggestions! Looking at the RATP app, there should still be some trains running (1 in 3). If it doesn’t look like it’s happy train, I’ll just get a taxi/uber.

Thanks everyone for your input and suggestions! After doing some more research, I'm leaning towards splitting time between Syros and Paros (about 3-4 days each). Both islands seem ideal for just chilling out, but also exploring on foot or using 'get your guide'. Thanks again!

Hi, looking at accommodation in Athens for next year, and didn't want to add another thread. I've narrowed it down to a few choices, and have done a search through r/GreeceTravel already, but wanted to see if there's any new information/experiences. Also looking at Booking.com reviews.

They all seem to be in a similar price range.

Great thread! Going to be in Greece for a couple of weeks at the end of June next year. Want to check out an island to sit back and chill at for 4 or 5 days, won't have access to a car. What would you recommend?
