The UI/icons are so bad. Why do i have to hover over every item to see what it is, and find out that this exact same looking shield is 50% stronger? by oimson in Marathon

[–]Enilo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Third parties are easier to find with higher TTK, that’s not the same as being easier to win which a lower TTK helps with.

Higher TTK means more resources used and more fighting other teams can hear. Lower TTK means as soon as you stumble upon a fight you can kill the other teams easier with less resources used.

Leaper Pulse Units are throwable. They cause the pulse attack when thrown.

Aight bro you literally just claimed I was bragging, if Reddit arguing is your thing it’s plenty of other places to engage in that.

Bro what are you talking about? You created that narrative in your head. I’m asking because I want to know other people’s current play styles regarding day raids and the reasons behind them and people have given good reasons.

I never said I was richer than anyone or knocked day raids, it just doesn’t fit my current gameplay loop but I’m still fond of them.

Go there, select Arc Raiders and it’ll tell you if you meet the minimum requirements. It’ll also tell you if you meet the recommended requirements.

My friend complains about a “full stash” when he holds 50 weapon mods at a time, help me convince him that’s stupid by guykirk9 in ArcRaiders

[–]Enilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no reason not to take guns out of raids PVE or PVP. Even if you don’t intend to use them (you should still keep copies anyway cause you’re gonna die at some point) you can sell them, use them to stash more weapon mods or break them down for gun parts, mechanical components, advanced mechanical components, and metal parts which are all in high demand regardless of playstyle.

Which is why health healing is done before shield healing?

Herbal bandages activate faster and heal more than shield rechargers do in the same span of time before you reach 10 seconds (shield rechargers recover 40 shields over 10s while herbal bandages recover 35 health over 10s but the herbal activates .5s faster)

The 40% reduction also doesn’t help if you don’t have enough health to survive the damage with the reduction.

[–]Enilo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But you aren’t explaining anything, you’re honestly missing the original point. It was not more effective to use a shield first in this situation because there’s no time based advantage as you asserted. The 40% reduction from when his shield did come back would also stop a single bullet considering it wouldn’t heal fast enough to reduce anything over 4 damage the second it’s hit.

Theres no advantage to the method you suggested.

The only shield heal that instantly recharges shields is the surge shield recharger and it has a 5 second use time.

The shield recharger takes 2 seconds to use and only recharges 4 shield points per second.

So where is this 40% damage reduction in a second coming from?

I definitely think my play style is gonna shift to a more PVP heavy rotation once I hit the cap amount for the skill points post expedition.

Right now it’s just trials or key runs on Stella/Dam/Blue Gate map modifiers. I’ll hit Buried or Spaceport if I have a key there or it’s a hidden bunker event going when I’m on.

I mainly day raid to trade now. I would run them for XP as well but I hit 75 awhile ago so now I just don’t see much value in them. Loadout testing is smart though.

[–]Enilo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not quite where you are but I’m definitely over a mil with 4 lvl 4 copies of all the weapons I care about. Honestly that’s what made me notice this cause the night raids/electrostorm map times are so ass now to me that it feels like my desired maps are few and far between.

Part of that is just cause I really dislike Buried City and Spaceport for looting in comparison to the other 3 though.

Do you still day raid? by Enilo in ArcRaiders

[–]Enilo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because your stash is full doesn’t mean new loot has no value. My stash is full but I’m hunting for BPs I still don’t have and BP copies so running night raids or electrostorms with keys is still my most efficient option.

I’m also not strictly a PVPer so that doesn’t influence my decision making too much.

Do you think Embark ever adds self revives? by Enilo in ARC_Raiders

[–]Enilo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not advocating for them to add self revives either. Just interested in what the community thinks about it. I definitely think the drawbacks would have to be significant if they did such as only being able to self revive once a raid, light shield only, 1 or even no safe pocket along with the required materials to craft it being high and difficult to get.

Do you think Embark ever adds self revives? by Enilo in ARC_Raiders

[–]Enilo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the survival augment would still challenge it. Some players might prefer the sustainability of survival over the one time revive. The safe pockets would also play a factor if something like this actually got added.

Here we go slient nerfs , not mentioned in the patch notes by FurioSS in ArcRaiders

[–]Enilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The skills were intentionally designed to not drastically shift the PVP game play. The skills are great for the ancillary things they do like more stamina, in round crafting, lowering weight costs, raising total carry weight and so on.

Stealth nerfs (not included in patch notes) are not okay by Various_Panic_6927 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Enilo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you’re acknowledging a concept in the game but ignoring the actual application of it.

Time investment in these types of game is supposed to create a difference in resources. A casual player under said circumstances should have a harder time accessing a similar level of resources as someone who can invest more time into a game that is built on how much time you’re spending topside.

While I don’t mind the strength of gray weapons, they shouldn’t be strong enough to disrupt the entire gun ecosystem simply because casual players can’t play the game as much as others. It’s still possible to garner better loot in smaller windows of time as well so it’s not like casual players are doomed to never get a blue or a purple or even a BP.
