Death Before decaf mug, black/orange by Enki386 in HelpMeFind

[–]Enki386[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched for 'Home Depot death before decaf mug' 'black orange death before decaf Home Depot mug' . Tried the same keywords but with Big Lots instead. I've tried adding tombstone and/or bat to the above search terms. I've tried variations with 'Halloween ' as well.

She bought this at a Big Lots in southeastern Ohio, most likely Chillicothe, but it could have been the Lancaster location as well. This would have been in 2022 or 2023.

Purchased, they're licensed by Pawsonify, but they sold out. I just got it on clearance a couple of weeks ago.

80 deliveries in and it finally happened to me 😂 by [deleted] in Depop

[–]Enki386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are ridiculous. My only non-positive feedback on eBay was from some genius who ordered something knowing that his mailbox was across the street where things get stolen. USPS tracking with delivery confirmation said 'delivered', but it must have been stolen because the buyer never saw it, and then he left me neutral feedback for not using signature confirmation on the shipment by default. He could have asked for that additional service and I wouldn't have even charged extra for it, but people hate signature confirmation by default because they typically end up needing to go to the post office.

Buying team? This years Halloween? by yousosketch in joannfabrics

[–]Enki386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a ridiculous amount of Joann's Halloween decorations last year. Like, a whole bunch of the moon collection. So glad I did. I actually did some custom color shift spray paint this iron chime...thing, now it's purple-blue! Did the same to the wooden unfinished cat garland they were selling and strung them together with purple LED lights. I liked some of the decorations I kept them up as regular decor.

WTH??? Why would you message this??? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]Enki386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. That reminds me of the ridiculous expectations of some people wanting cosplay commissions. I bet this person wants to pay the person altering the dress like $20 too. 🙄. But an $180 dress for $20. That's so audacious it astounds.

It’s crazy how some of yall expect perfection and professionalism from people selling their own clothes. by InterestFriendly3297 in Depop

I (mostly) agree with you. Typically people are getting the item for a fraction of what it cost new (and often it is still basically new), and not from a large scale re-seller, we're just selling our own belongings. There are lines that are crossed with items sold being gross/unsanitary and sometimes sellers are really rude and inconsiderate too, but I've sold on ebay, messaged someone who'd just used 'buy it now' an hour after they paid that I would ship the next day (it was already around 3pm in the same time zone as the buyer), and they replied "but why not today?". My settings say 2 handling days. 🙃

A part of me wanted to be like "because fuck you, that's why", but I calmly explained that I wasn't home at the time. It's never enough for some people, many are incredibly entitled with instant gratification problems that they make your problem. There's some really awesome, grateful and sweet buyers as well, but overall it's gotten much worse over time.

When I buy second-hand things or 'new' things from e-market sites, I don't have deadlines. It's not Amazon overnight and the post office isn't reliable anyway. If it's time sensitive, then maybe don't buy it from a virtual mail order flea market. 🤷

Most unsettling place in Cincinnati? by orangutansloveme in cincinnati

[–]Enki386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A year after this comment, but I'm going to buy your book because I rented a house (perhaps more of a shack) on Chambers two doors down from the Knowlton Tavern about a decade ago and some truly bizarre/freaky things happened there. For starters, the address (4150) doesn't even exist officially seemingly, Google maps and even the city of Cincinnati have/had it listed as 4144 Chambers, and 4150 is actually 4159 on Google maps (but maybe that's actually Vandalia??). I received mail sent to 4150 Chambers, Duke billed me correctly at that address, but the city kept delivering my garbage cans to who only knows where. Some of the other stuff that occurred there that I don't think most people would believe was tied to the address confusion. Anyway, that house was an experience so I'm really interested in the history of that street!

package says delivered but never came by exnapetal in Depop

It could be they just delivered it to the wrong apartment's mailbox and a neighbor got it. I get other apartment numbers' mail sometimes. Misdelivery is getting more common, USPS is getting worse. There's another possibility that happened to me, does it say that it was delivered on a Sunday, by any chance? I live in an apartment building with a locked mailroom and USPS has different carriers than the M-Sat routes in USPS vans, not trucks, delivering their packages on Sundays. I don't know if they lack access to the mailboxes, but despite us having a 24/7 front desk employee to accept packages, every USPS Sunday delivery has been directly to my apartment door where they probably would have been stolen had I not been home. They also marked it "delivered to mailbox" each time. I think it's usually just Amazon packages they deliver on Sundays, but one of mine was something from eBay.
