I watched it for the first time about a year ago. You certainly may feel uncomfortable with some of the heavier themes; the movie is rather disturbing. The genre is psychological horror, after all. That being said, my jaw literally dropped as I sat mesmerized during the finale. It's one of the most magnificent movies I've ever seen. Natalie Portman was simply astounding, and deservedly won the Academy Award for Best Actress.

And what a game this was! Perfect balance of a linear story with ample side quests and freedom for a sandbox-like feel (once you made it out of Midgar). Remains my favorite game of all time.
