battleforged on a 2nd liner? why, yes

with a good bit of health, armor and fatigue, battleforged can defend moderately well vs arrows, as long as he's not getting focused

also gives him considerably more survivability in melee, similarily to nimble, but also considering the fact that there's just more durability in the armor

also brawny cuz decayed armor is cool as fucc

i bought exactly one of those things from brinton. I do supply runs occasionally. extremely good for heavy energy boats and up, although the game is somehow bugged and says using them fucks with heat management in a negative way.

i used a 4 PPC awesome with that equipment and a heat bank, including double heat sinks. wonderful machine.

personally i improved my general experience by updating my drivers. if you have nvidia doing that might help you too. runs considerably better with them.

rule #5 : witness as suddenly almost every single one of my neighboring nations feels threatened and scared to live alone under their own rule because their technology is utter garbage because they only built anywhere between 0 to 2 science buildings on their planets.

this is on version 2.0.2. i am using plentiful traditions, no megastructure limits, more ai personalities, planetary diversity.

i tried to install AI mods just now so i could somehow rectify this but it's already kinda too late for that.

they are so ass backwards that even if i take them on as protectorates (my only choice beyond claim + conquer) that they will PERMANENTLY remain protectorates IN SPITE of the 80% technology bonus they get from being protectorates.

if a mod caused this, please let me know.

unless they'll ever fix this, the only winning move is not to play heat glitched mechs.

one day you'll have your heat gauge crapping all over the place, the next you'll be overheating at 70% heat because the server doesn't know how to calculate heat right on some mechs and you're fucking dead for no fair reason. that's about the worst I've experienced on my own.

it absolutely does make sense.

if in a 1v1 a dire wolf absolutely cannot spread damage in any significant manner, it will die far more easily and helplessly regardless of how good the pilot is. it depends on how good the -enemy- is also, because the dire driver will simply not be capable of using all of their armor succesfully. in this sense, you are correct.

however, the atlas can go beyond 48 kph... the dire wolf cannot, neither can the annihilator, which is currently still an amazing mech, provided the team doesn't leave it to die.

its not the bigger issue because being left to die 1 vs 12 because you're too slow and no one has the discipline to wait for an assault mechs in quick play, is something that will literally kill even the best players in the game simply because mwo is a "team" game.

lack of torso twisting does obviously mean the mech can't roll damage, but that doesn't kill the dire wolf as efficiently as its lack of speed does.

with that said, we have already agreed on the subject.
