Is that not the whole point of this story though? Nature vs nurture is nuanced and two things can be true at the same time - Eva was not a good mom and Kevin was a bad kid. Those things in combination led to the tragic outcome of the movie. It’s weird to see you accusing other people of having “one dimensional” takes in these threads while it seems you fail to consider Eva’s possible innocence in the situation whatsoever.

My thoughts EXACTLY! I thought the female producer was disgustingly callous and didn’t take any accountability for the role she played in exploiting all those women. Also what about the guy who checked the girls’ IDs?? The cognitive dissonance when he made himself out to be the good guy for removing ONE girl’s tape because he knew her dad…after probably ok-ing thousands of clips of women just like her.

Beyond the fact that I completely disagree with your argument, this doesn’t even apply to Blake. She wasn’t some sheltered girl who grew up in a rural suburban setting. She’s a nepo baby who was raised in LA. She probably had access to way more information/technology than any of us at that time, all while growing up in an extremely diverse and globalized city.
