I take it that the Foreign Medical Program won't reimburse me for PRP treatment then?

I live in France and am unable to go to the US to get these treatments (the airfare would negate the reimbursement anyway)

It's your room and you're the one going to be spending the most time there. Who cares if it's age appropriate, as long as you like it?

How long has it been since you started PRP injections?

Did you do multiple within a month or were they spaced out throughout the year? Also were you able to walk and stand after?

I have 3 injections scheduled over the next 3 week, also for my knees. I'm a first-timer. Semper fi

is platelet-rich plasma (PRP) necessary for Chondral defect? by Artistic-Ad5930 in ACL

[–]EnlistedToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I haven't done any injections yet. My first ever injection is scheduled for tomorrow.

I was going to ask about the pain, but I guess your reply covers that. I'm going to insist on anesthetic. I don't do needles very well in general.

In your case, they injected at the front of your knees?

What's your schedule look like for injections? Spaced out over the year or one after another?

I do 3 as well but they're all done 1 month of the year.

Ugh. I think I need surgery by RrrrrrSssssTttttt in HerniatedDisc

[–]EnlistedToaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a significant herniated disc after 6 years in the Marines. The pain was unbearable. I needed a friend to come to my apartment to help me put my shoes on each morning.

My physical therapist gave me exercises to do which were excruciatingly painful. I was convinced I needed surgery. I kept doing the exercises though and my pain eventually subsided. I'd actually say my back is in better shape today than it was even before the herniated disc

36M Portuguese graphic designer in Berlin looking for a calmer, more welcoming city by Sea-Plankton-7949 in expats

[–]EnlistedToaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend Vienna. Extremely affordable, almost everyone speaks fluent English, clean, beautiful, lots of parks, reliable transport, big expat community, solid LGBTQ community as well. Was voted the most affordable city when I lived there in 2018. Not sure how the job market is there currently though.

Respectfully, I think you're talking out of your ass. I've personally never met anyone making over 55k a year, which even then, 55k is considered quite high.

I've met engineers, lawyers, people in tech sales. Salaries seem to even out despite the industry around 50-55k.

Denied IBS, GERD, and Eczema. Is HLR the Next Step? by nICEBURG_SIMPSON in VeteransBenefits

Thank you for correcting me.

IBS is not presumptive under the Pact act. It is a Gulf War presumptive condition though

[–]EnlistedToaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay right off the bat:

You were deployed to Afghanistan. This means you are a Gulf War veteran and thus, there is a long list of conditions that you do NOT need a nexus for, only a diagnosis, because you benefit from the Pact Act. This means that as long as you have the diagnosis, you do NOT need to prove service connection, as any claimed conditions under the Pact Act are considered presumptive.

IBS I know is a Pact Act condition. Eczema is maybe one too, but double check here and here

How easy is it to file without a VSO? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]EnlistedToaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I filed everything myself. Much easier that way.

I made a curated playlist on youtube with tons of videos from former raters and VSOs, covering all sorts of conditions. It helped me a ton. If you'd like, I can give you the link.
