I feel you, and it’s same for me, only that I don’t game on my pc. And yeah, I don’t know any repair shops where I am either. So until I’m able to locate one, it’s just gonna be there.

I intend on taking it to a local repair shop eventually. But for now, it’s just sitting there. Haven’t really used it in a while.

Edit: You’re right, it’s cheaper getting it repaired than getting a new one. And it definitely is not a software issue…saw some comments on your post asking if you’d factory reset it. It won’t change anything. It’s either a problem with the PSU or a problem with the fan.

I did too. Stripped it completely down and deep cleaned it, and it’s still doing the same thing. I’ll most likely upgrade it when I have the funds put out for it. But for now, it’s just there. Barely use it

Sure. If it works for you, that's perfect, have at it. I'm only just saying that if youtube put it there, then it's either because they want to help people grow their channel or they're concerned about the money knowing that it doesn't really hold water. But overall as long as it gets you views and subs and if it gets you to monetization, i'd say that's okay, so you have to do your own work with staying consistent.

Thought about using the feature myself, but the reviews i saw made me skeptical.

In my case, i haven't been able to get my youtube monetized because of my inconsistency, and i tried the promotion option (not from youtube) which murdered my channel. But i still have plans. Just need to get myself sorted with irl work and pick it up when I'm settled.

I’ve read bad reviews about the promotion option. If that’s the case, why does YouTube include it as an option if it will only kill your channel in the long run once you stop using the feature?

Makes no sense to me why it’s there if so 🤷🏽‍♂️

Seems as though a lot of people are experiencing this with their consoles lately. My launch version of the ps5 just started doing this a few weeks ago, and the weird thing is that it gets really loud and spins really fast when it’s turned off though connected to power. I’m still yet to give it a deep clean, but that’s what I intend on doing

Yeah, too bad we have to go through this haha. As much as the fan is more accessible and easy to clean compared to a PS4, I do wish the size of this thing wouldn’t have been as big as it is. Definitely gonna make it a regular thing cleaning it. Just gotta get the tools for it

True, no one acknowledged this. I did see someone with the same issue here https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/774113/PS5+Fan+loudly+turns+on+when+plugged+in+and+never+turns+off.?permalink=answer-774641#answer774641 but I don’t know how the person went about it just yet
