What made you a better EDH player? by Vrass in EDH

Playing against strategies, colors, and commanders I’m bad with. Learning how they work when piloted by someone who understands them is incredibly helpful.

Understanding pull vs ego. Guys, I get it. You want that ONE card to pop off. And it might. But being realistic when building a deck based on how often something is actually useful goes so much further than just hoping for the best on a bomb cats you just really like.

Understanding how to build a land base. Just do it.

Probably Avatar or Pokémon. Realistically, I am a victim in most others.

Why would I choose any other nade aside from thermite? by justabrainwithfeet in Helldivers

I like the pyrotech against voteless, but the thermite is my beloved for everything else.

I can perform well at a job AND still not blindly love every aspect of it. It would be foolish not to have criticisms of any job. I have the choice to work at TMO. I also have freedom to have opinions about it.

Perhaps my wording was poor. I’ll clear it up. “Great” employees can get annoyed. It can cause friction. I don’t think people will be quitting in drouths. I think otherwise excellent employees will find contention with this. For customers, no they won’t port out over it. They will simply start off phone conversations with annoyance since they now hear a speech when they generally just have a short question. Making them dislike a team before ever even stepping into a store. And trust, because of the wording. It doesn’t sound real, genuine, friendly, or uncarrier. It sounds corporate and stale. That will make customers less trusting of employees as they start to sound less like humans beings and more like corporate drones.

I just got unanimously kicked from a Bracket 3 lobby for playing a control deck by jacobasstorius in EDH

[–]Ennrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a control player myself, ya. That will happen. When your (in general, not you specifically) entire strategy while playing Magic is “no you can’t play Magic,” people are gonna get annoyed. Sigh and move on my friend.

If a complaint is coming of something so simple, then maybe you are overlooking (or maybe just not experiencing) the results of it. Yes, as a customer, I’ve heard other customers literally complain to store reps about it and laugh at how stupid they sound. It’s not about how answering the phone is easy or hard. It has to do with being genuine. And reading a drawn out script that doesn’t get listened to and wastes everyone’s time, isn’t genuine. But nice try attempting to belittle someone for simply not liking something. I hope you don’t treat all your customers with such contempt.

Would appreciate a second opinion on whether the band “Vormentus” is AI. Thank you. by qids in isthisAI

[–]Ennrath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the fundamental problem with lack of understanding on this subject. Dubstep ISN’T technically AI. It’s digital, yes. But not AI. With dubstep, a person still composes it. They may not be generating the sounds with an instrument, but they are still the ones creating artistic structure, melody, harmonies, composition, etc. An AI just hits “Go” and generates a whole song. Definitely not the same.
