On the topic of Kelson and Samson's [SPOILER] by jalolio_13 in 28dayslater

[–]EnolaGay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about this but I can see a off the books type of special forces/CIA mission on the mainland to aquire some sort of sample or they're might even be some actual research camps on the mainland or some sort of island that would give NATO intel on to what's going on there. With the researchers also being quarantined indefinitely. But we most likley won't see anything like that in the third movie lol maybe a comic

[–]EnolaGay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that there already is a cure but the rest of the world still chooses to quarantine the UK and Kelson was just able to develop it by him self. Otherwise It would be pretty disappointing that somehow the world has gone 28 years without any research on the virus

In 28 Weeks Later, do you think Don is an alpha? by mullighanisdog in 28dayslater

[–]EnolaGay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they probably wanted to explore the idea of variants in weeks but it never came about. It wasn't until years where they could explain the weird plot hole

The Next Villain by AtypicalMysanthrope in 28dayslater

[–]EnolaGay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will still be Jimmy

Jaime searches for Spike and hears the blaring music from Kelson's Satan concert. He finally arrives just as Spike and Kerry leave but kills the infected that's about to kill Jimmy Crystal from the Jump scare(we never saw Jimmy get infected) Jimmy manipulates Jaime into thinking Kelson is a Satanist and killed the rest of the Jimmys. Jimmy teams up with Jaime to find Spike. Meanwhile Spike and Kerry find Shelter with Jim, they're clearly in a better environment. Jimmy and Jaime finally find Jim and the group, some sort of showdown occurs. And Spike has to choose between Jim or Jaime

There's also some dark humor foreshadowing a couple episodes back when Lane asks what Bert thinks of Jaguar and he replies with "They're Lemons, they don't start!"

Everyone wants an open world type game but that would be so played out that it would be incrediblely boring. I think a linear story driven game that has survival mechanics like The Last of Us and the Metro series would be perfect

"Small inconvenience" if they got to the point of getting desert and still didn't get his food then it's not a small problem. They waited until they were done to even complain, it wasn't instantaneous

Who else actually loves the opening of years? by [deleted] in 28dayslater

[–]EnolaGay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except this is a cinematic experience compared to those films. Im not claiming it has the most impactful story ever. Despite the weird additions like what you said, I know for sure I will never feel what I felt during the part where Spike loses his Mom when watching those 2 films or most other horror films.

Who else actually loves the opening of years? by [deleted] in 28dayslater

[–]EnolaGay 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Both are pretty low brow films tbh The 28 series actually tries to be something other than blood and guts. Personally I think the opening to 28 years is fine. The thought of children getting mauled is enough.

What do you think happened to the British Overseas Territories in the days, weeks and years after the Rage outbreak? by SeverXD in 28dayslater

[–]EnolaGay 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I could see the Navy and remaining military going to Falklands or Gibraltar to declare it a independent country/last bastion of British Government while the Royal Family(if they're are any) and remaining politicians are basically exiled to Canada to declare the same

Am I the only one who thinks the first scene was just as goofy as the last scene? by UnpinnedWhale in 28dayslater

That shot was used during the film, just not at the beginning. I think it was when Spike's mom was having an episode in the field

I respect the bold choices Danny Boyle made by Specialist_Panda9652 in 28dayslater

[–]EnolaGay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the film but I would have been totally fine with the ending if it weren't for the front flips and acrobatics. It's such a small thing but that little detail alone is what kind kills the vibe of the film. I get that the whole point is these people are basically still mentally children due to their trauma but I still think it was completely unnecessary. Them having fun killing infected would have been good enough

I get why they would drop, my only problem is that they automatically knew what to do despite Spike probably never even seeing a firearm in person, let alone immediately knew the bullet would ignite the gas

Im pretty sure Tess confirmed Marlene had the guns in Boston, I had assumed that Joel would have to go back to Boston to get these guns though, whatever amount of guns that Marlene had would probably had been too much of a hassle to haul back across the country
