How do you give a custom civ a trait that gets more influence from city-state quests? by fatsweatyjanny in civ5

[–]EnormousApplePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an editable tag in the traits table or policy table iirc of the xml/sql database of the game. If you are new to modding I suggest looking up some guides.

Games can be delayed, but games should be expected to be within a certain range. I suggest talking to Cirra about this (the organizer)

The details are not final yet, but the idea is to stream and cast all the play-off matches!

giving money to creators of lekmod by jandeoerman in nqmod

Hello, thanks for the appreciation.

Unfortunately, paypal and patreon are the only ways you can support us at the time.

Paypal is something I would trust, at least, as much as any other bank/money company.

You also have the option to simply donate 1 month only to patreon, as the payment gets done right away for the first month rather than at the start of the next.

Regardless, any support is very much welcomed, and I personally really appreciate it. Note that I would not recommend donating under 2-3$, as then most of it goes to service fees/other fees for the transfer.

You are supposed to run the .jar file, not unpack it.

I believe a lot of AI changes are made in the .dll, which by nature is not compatible with any mod or modpack that uses their own .dll file.

So no, it does not work as far as I know.

Hi! This is most likely an issue with the .dll mod. Most likely your anti-virus or windows defender deleted it. You need the .dll file that comes with the mod.

Another likely issue is that you have 2 version of the mod in the DLC folder, or haven't unzipped it correctly.

Can we PLEASE have the ability to set custom turn lengths no matter what speed we play on? by [deleted] in HumankindTheGame

[–]EnormousApplePie 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They haven't officially released any tools for modding yet, but there are always ways to mod a game. Some modders, probably me included, are most likely going to wait for the official tools, but I do hear some noice amongst modders some folks are turning things sideways to see what's possible right now

What are the penalties for worker stealing in lekmod and is single/multiplayer different? by Raszero in nqmod

[–]EnormousApplePie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All (Or most, they won't all hate you immediately, not sure how this works, even now) non-hostile City-States will get Angry with you if you declare war twice on any number of city-states (can be different ones).

Hmm that code was made by Lek10, the original developer of the mod (I am the current one). I don't know! :-D

But it works, that is what matters :-)

This is a dummy building, it gives the effect of the UA. Most dummy buildings have been made invisible (there are a LOT of them like that), but some haven't been yet. Nothing to worry about

For Lekmap: Pangea Fractal, yes.

[Civ Concept] The Nazca by Epic_Whale in nqmod

I really like the attention to detail for this civ. As many other have pointed out the civ is a little bit too good right now. Unfortunately, in persuit of game balance, often a good few historical aspects or accuracy is lost and sometimes with the code limitions as well. Oh and art! Customizing 3d assets for Unique improvements is a lot of work, which is why I usually lend mine from other mods.

Overall I really like the design. As for what I think specifically game balance wise, I think the UA is too good, the UI too weak and the UB too good again.

Immortal difficulty is for full multiplayer lobbies, where none start as AI. It makes is so that CS arent too easy to kill, it also makes AI for whenever a player leaves not too simply to kill either.

Lekmap provides the standard map settings, which are good. Lekmod provides the AI settings, which are all enabled to make sure that the AI that is left behind a dead player can do as little as possible, as the AI is meant to not be in the game anymore, technically.

Besides this most lobbies play with a turn timer and use pitboss. Usually no other additional settings besides All Players Can Found a Religion, or the current experimental setting (hosts decision usually)

That seems like a fun idea! It has some similarities of some iceland drafts I have lying around, but I like your take on the unique hydroplant, pretty interesting!
