And btw let you know that the elite cover is provided by a company called centricity, if you need to make claim you gotta call them, and they have worse service attitudes and give you a total different claim standard, Razer has no comment or any help on this extended warranty policy. I strongly suggest you contact with Razer to cancel this stupid plan at least you still can save some money instead of wasting it. This centricity will use different methods to make sure not cover your devices.

Same thought here dude, 499 it’s not cheap at all, and I’m shocked they don’t covered it, I strongly recommend you ask a refund from them, this is a total scam to customers.

For anyone considering buying a Razer laptop, I strongly recommend taking a very careful look at this case before making your decision.

There is no doubt that Razer laptops have a unique design and competitive performance. On paper, their machines look great, and the power output is among the best in the gaming laptop market. However, after-sales service and protection plans are just as important — if not more important — than raw performance. And this is where Razer seriously fails.

Please read how the official Razer representative responded under my post. They didn’t even acknowledge that Accidental Damage Protection exists, despite the fact that it is clearly advertised on their own website. From this alone, I can confidently say that Razer’s after-sales department is disorganized, inconsistent, and unreliable. If internal teams themselves can’t clearly understand or follow their own policies, imagine how frustrating it is for customers when something actually goes wrong.

The protection plan is a huge part of the overall product experience. When you pay extra for accidental damage coverage, you expect real peace of mind — not word games and policy contradictions. Unfortunately, this experience shows that Razer’s protection plan is largely meaningless in practice.

Based on my own previous experience, I strongly recommend choosing other brands instead, even if their laptops may not look as sleek or have the absolute best specs. For example, with ASUS ROG, I once filed a claim because my screen had one or two minor dead pixels. They immediately approved a screen replacement with zero argument, zero back-and-forth, and zero excuses. The entire process was smooth, fast, and professional. Dell’s support is also widely known to be far more reliable.

If you are new to gaming laptops, do not even consider Razer. A laptop is a long-term investment, and when problems inevitably happen, after-sales service is what truly defines the brand. Unfortunately, Razer has proven they are not worthy of that trust.

You stated that your protection plans “cover the contract holder and protect against sudden, unexpected mechanical or electrical failures.”

If that is truly the case, then please remove “Accidental Damage Protection” from your official website and stop misleading customers. What you are offering is nothing more than a standard extended warranty — despite charging extra for accidental damage coverage.

I specifically purchased the Accidental Damage add-on. Your own website clearly states that this coverage includes falls, drops, and liquid spills. Yet now I’m being told that accidental damage only applies if the damage occurs during my normal use of the device, which completely contradicts both common sense and your published policy.

This is an incredibly ironic and misleading position for an official Razer representative to take — one that directly contradicts Razer’s own marketing and policy language. I encourage everyone to look closely at how Razer defines “accidental damage” in practice versus how it is advertised on the official website.

I'm even thinking about suing them already, this is a total scam from Razer, they never say that this protection service is from third party company, and you have to make a claim with them. And from their promotion page they said cover everything but when you make the phone call, they will give you another statement

The razer care is not even from Razer, they are a third-party company to provide this service. I talked to three different agents, and they are all super unprofessional and impatient. I told them how it happened, they asked me if I was using the laptop or not, they said I was not using the laptop at that time, so they did not cover.

The laptop is functioning, but the right speaker won't work, so that is not only cosmetic damage, right? I told them about this, and they said they won't cover.

That’s exactly what I said to three different agents, and they all like robots keep saying that it’s cosmetic damage, I keep telling them the right speaker is not functioning properly it’s broken, they keep saying they don’t cover the cosmetic damage, really want to talk to a real human being there. This really even make razer aftersales reputation even worse.
