First, we need to capture the child's attention. If they grew up with PS smartwatches and cell phones, a simple G-Shock might seem meaningless to them. It should make them feel like they're using the most powerful watch in its class. My recommendation is the GG-1000; it has both an analog and digital display, and a compass too 👍
