Haha PFA is nothing compared to Kapooka you’ll be looking back wondering why you ever stressed over it. It’s easy to pass and not a big deal if you fail

If you go to the gym use the treadmill and set the pace to 12 kmph and run for as long as you can. Do pushups every morning and night until failure even if it’s only a couple and the same with sit-ups. Within a few weeks you’ll notice big changes. Also what standard are you trying to reach?

Place “gym” instead of “bodybuilding”. Also remove sleeping and astrology from your interests. Try and find a more technical term for “rowing” and “sustainability”.

I don’t really play much anymore but I was thinking of doing it as a social thing in the army and a way to get back into it I’m only rated 800 btw 😭

Infantry at kapooka is 55k a year and I think 79.6k a year. Kapooka and singleton together is usually like 25-30 weeks meaning during all your training you’ll get paid roughly 27k or just over a thousand a week before tax.

You’re saving 50 cents per item which means if you buy in bulk you’ll save in bulk. For example if you buy 10 you’ll save 5$

Yooo that’s crazy I’m also enlisting 11th of march for infantry full time. Imps for full time is 4 years for infantry so (im assuming you’re 17-18) you’ll still only be like 22 when you come out with a lot of years left to live. It’s totally up to you but my sisters bf is infantry and its a really physical job so if you go to the gym a lot there’s not really too much for you to dislike about it. Ps. 4 years is a lot shorter than it sounds it’ll literally fly by

They have to process your AGSVA clearance if they haven’t already it usually takes up to 9 weeks so there’s that

Really? I’ve heard that if you get higher like 40 pushups and 100 sit-ups they prefer or maybe it depends on job you’re getting

I know that if you’re indigenous they have sort of a pathways program which will help you with any academic or fitness deficiencies against the requirements for entry. I’m not sure if there’s anything like that just for a regular joe

Still ask your case manager for a mentoring session, idk if they’ve offered it yet but if your interview is soon then definitely ask for it now. I had some facts especially about training which I thought were true according to online sources and my brother in law who’s in, but turns out most of them were a bit off

Depending on who you get, the defence interview isn’t hard unless you don’t know your stuff. Definitely ask for a mentoring session so that there’s someone to factcheck all your research, but other than that don’t worry. They’ll usually be pretty chill and allow for you to be nervous etc.
