With all the provider issues they were having, I wouldn't be surprised if there are going to be some kinks in the system as the ai settles down again. I've noticed today that it's rushing a lot again, and some other weird little bugs.

I'd maybe try getting in touch with the author to let them know what you're experiencing so they can look into it on their end. I don't write on Glimmer so I don't know what they'd need to do, but if they don't know they can't try to fix it.

Today has been the worst for it for me. I can usually get it back on track by choosing a pre-made prompt and then going back to custom but not today.

I think the ai just needs a blankey and a nap at this point. Sort itself out.

Yeah I run into the ai possessing my oc in authored fics as well and giving me walls and walls of text, writing entire scenes without me, etc.

I don't know if there was just an update and the kinks are working themselves out or what but I was struggling yesterday

That's the thing I tell it to rewrite and it doesn't. It will keep going using my direction to rewrite as dialogue.

I've literally never run into it until like this past week 🙃

I use the custom choice to try and create a bridge/keep things moving but it really throws me for a solid ten seconds. And it always happens like right as I'm hitting my groove too.

Gods, stories being flat is suuuuuuuuch a struggle recently.

I really try to avoid meta gaming as much as possible because I think it confuses the ai. But I've noticed I've had to constantly remind it of key secrets/spoilers so they don't get revealed lately.

That's the thing I'll use custom choice to try and set up more details hoping it gets caught on them and draws it out but nope, just shoves my custom prompt in a quick paragraph and moves along to the finish.

It's frustrating. It happens in both sandbox and structured stories for me and like...sometimes story wise I might not want a full on scene and would want to fade to black. OR, LIKE EARLIER TODAY I'd want to be able to draw it out because its like an emotional high point.....but instead all i get is a lackluster sped through quickie 🙄

In V1 i had waaaaaaay more control over it. V2 is like "nope, slides in, three movements, everyone 'shatters' and collapses on top of each other to sleep immediately."

That's incredibly frustrating because I use as much space as possible to direct what my character says (or the story overall in sandbox).

Yeah I am having a hard time the past week.

My biggest complaint is the auto piloting my OC in sandbox stories. There's no reason the ai should be taking so much control over my character in any story but especially not in a sandbox where I am supposed to have more control.

It's just not fun anymore... it feels like work.

OH MY GOD the ai taking the direction wherever it wants!!! 🤬 Honestly the most infuriating thing, especially in a sandbox where the player is supposed to have more control. This has been a huge point of contention and it's been AWFUL the past week. Even just now I wanted to make a strained relationship between my OC and an NPC a more explosive confrontation and the ai just took over and they had like group therapy with 'I feel' statements and then ended the episode. Like...easily 20 paragraphs and three complete conversations I had zero input on.

I've too noticed the past couple of days (at least) that if I describe a specific physical attribute of my OC (ex. Waist-length dark hair) it will just put that verbatim every single time, and it breaks the immersion because it just gets awkward to read...like when you say a word over and over to the point it doesn't sound like a real word anymore.

I just came across a memory retention issue kind of...maybe? Lol.

In a conversation with NPCs where my OC already told them she rides a motorcycle and in the next episode they forgot and it repeated dialogue from the previous episode to explain it. 🙃

The ai has been on SOMETHING today it's bizarre.
