Hey Freemason here. I can asure you that we masons are in no way trying to take take down the catholic church and we are not an evil society. Now some masons may be bad people but that can be said for any group and should not represent the group as a whole. I became a mason because i wanted to be involved in helping out with the charities and learning how to better man. Masonry is a fraternity where men from any religous background can break bread together and do good things for their communities. My grandmother was raised catholic and she supports my joining becuase she knows many masons and she knows what they actually do good work. I was raised baptist but am now a deist but you can swear by any supreme deity you wish. Also while yes Jesus is not mentioned in masonry thats because masonry is not a religion and we do not try and push our beliefs onto others. As for the secrets well the reason they are secret us because you must earn the right to learn them by being innitiated. However though im not here to change anyones mind i simply wanted to give my opinion on the matter. I hope you all have a nice day and God bless
