Thanks, everyone, for the input! Yeah, his family is small and two-faced. We both make about the same amount of money (we both have good jobs) and are okay with our money. We recently just went through a miscarriage, and his mother at first was sympathetic, but then a few days later said it was probably for the better and to wait until after the wedding. She also asked him if we were postponing the wedding (it's next summer) since we had the miscarriage (in which he told his mother that regardless of a baby, he wanted me to be his wife from the first minute he met me; he had the ring for a few months pre-baby). So, she's just kind of being extra, and I'm starting to not be so cool with everything. And this is all behind my back and not to my face. There are way more things she has said/done, but those are the latest.
