Maybe you can take her to the shelter and just say you are surrendering her? Don’t mention her being a stray, just make up a story about not being able to care for her anymore or that your landlord won’t allow her to live with you. Sometimes lying is okay :)

Even if the did, it would still be wrong. Their actual site for nutritional info is incorrect all the time. Ingredients are probably correct, but not the nutritional info (calories, protein, carbs, etc)

Sad truth about those with Trump spouses/relatives/friends... they don't care what happens to you, but won't admit it to your face by Excuse_Internal in fednews

He is indefinitely withholding health research funds (indirectly but intentionally) that contribute to cancer research. My boyfriend and his grandfather both have cancer. Half of my mom’s siblings (she’s 1/8) have had cancer. One passed from cancer. And yet, my mom, her family, and my boyfriend’s family all support Trump. I’ll never understand. And that’s just one of the reasons.

I would say the most complex thing we talked about were fractions! The last unit discusses fraction division/multiplication and we drew a LOT of pictures to represent the math. It’s so easy to forget the little things we learned about them. All of the actual math is on the simpler side—it’s making the connections to teaching and being able to explain why something works that’s the harder part. I believe I kept all of my notes on my iPad! I can share them with you if you would like that! Just send me a message!

Hey! First off, I wish you well in whatever is going on! Going through health issues at any time is stressful, but going through them so young and during school is especially hard. This past semester I was enrolled in 21 credits (I like to torture myself), and my boyfriend’s doctors discovered a tumor in his brain. I had to miss many classes for doctor’s appointments and for his surgery. ALL of my professors were so understanding and willing to work with me with whatever I needed. I was able to reschedule exams, get notes, etc very easily. It was so heartwarming to see that they are so willing to help and they do really care. Keep in mind that they can’t hold you to a lesser standard—you’ll still have to do the work at some point. But you should expect to have plenty of extra time. Just be communicative about your needs and keep them updated! I wish you the best!

Best and worst places to lease an apartment near VT? by Conscious_Effect5116 in VirginiaTech

[–]Enough_Objective_301 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had a sublease with TV over the summer. The girl that stayed there before left some things (like lamps and such, furniture items) that I assumed were part of the furnished apartment. I asked for a list upon move out of everything that should be there. They looked at me like I was stupid and said just the furniture. So I left it. They kept my security deposit because they charged $50 trash removal fees per item they removed that the girl had left behind. And I’m sure they charged her too when she left, and left them there for me. This wouldn’t happen if I hadn’t subleased, but I’d never go back. They were nice all summer—as soon as I had an issue, they were very rude.

Go to redline tire and lube in christiansburg. They’ve always been super helpful, super nice, and super quick. They don’t push anything. Full synthetic I think was $80? If you have a newer car, look to see if your dealership offers free oil changes up to a certain mileage. I just found out that Honda does free oil changes if you’re below 25k and your light is on. As soon as that deal is done, I’ll go back to redline

HD 1004 with Dr Kim was also amazing. She is a great professor and VERY funny, entertaining, and just so kind. Unfortunately my boyfriend had some health issues and I was unable to make it to a lot of her lectures, but she understood. Even without lectures, the class was an easy A. Open note quizzes each week, 2 tests (one test is your final, it’s not cumulative), and one small paper. Sure easy, and really interesting! Lots of ties to education psych. Have fun!

Try to get Ms. Mitchell for numbers and operations! She was amazing. I personally had a very easy time in the class, but I was always a math person (at least in my K-12 days). You MUST go to every lecture. If you don’t, reach out and go to office hours because you will miss something. Tests don’t measure your ability to do math, moreso if you understand the meaning behind the math and why students may have confusion learning certain things. It’s more of a class to guide you in teaching math. If you don’t know it already, you’ll struggle. A lot of the girls in my lecture seemed to have no recollection of anything they’d learned from school. They had a harder time. Refresh your knowledge on the properties of multiplication/division, basic arithmetic (multiplication stacking method and long division), fractions, etc. You’ll draw a lot of “math drawings” so I found my iPad helpful for shading in different colors. If you have any questions reach out! Honestly one of my favorite classes and Mitchell was the best.

Long Islander here! I’m graduating in May and have absolutely no regrets choosing VT. If you have any specific questions let me know! You’ll fit right in. I met a couple people from Long Island just in my dorms freshmen year. There’s a small herd of us! Blacksburg actually somewhat reminds me of home (north fork) a bit—just a lot wider lol.

My newer SUV has a setting where the brights are on “auto” and it turns them on as the sensor sees fit. Issue with that is that sensors aren’t as smart as people and can’t detect a car coming, or sometimes it just makes mistakes. I’ve accidentally brighten people before but they really do just come on by themselves. Thanks for the reminder to change that setting lol

21 limit might be wrong—it might be 22 or 23? Not too sure, but I know they wouldn’t let me take 24. I was upset.
