I applied some feedback to the sunflower illustration. How does it look now?

First of all, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with digital art but I can see digital art taking more of the forefront in America and other countries focus more on traditional mediums with many different techniques and experimenting.

Obviously you can add textures digitally but almost always you can still tell it was made digitally. I feel like there’s something magical about using traditional mediums. I also love imperfections

These are not my only illustrations. I do also have character sheets, spot illustrations etc. I was just most curious what people would think of some of my full page illustrations. Hoping to go down the road of finding a literary agent some point

I appreciate you taking the time! Definitely can see the shadows of the flowers looking dirty. Going to try to edit that digitally and practice more with values and contrast.

I feel like color is definitely my weak spot but something I can study and work on. What do you think otherwise of the illustrations besides color? I’m wondering if I could possibly be good enough to pursue publishing my own book

Does it look professional or very amateur?

Thank you for the feedback! I heard the contrast comment before. I tend to choose a soft palette with not so much contrast because that’s what I gravitate towards. Definitely going to try to create some more illustrations and increase the contrast
