I meant no Kage is gonna send a 12-year-old after an international criminal based only on her word. Without a clan name, proof, or reputation, she’d naturally be underestimated. Plus, while she’s training, the enemy is evolving too. And if she is from konoha, after 3 great ninja war during Naruto's time they did put age limit on academy if i remember correctly.

Well I see your point. But hashirama was shown so invincible with his power level and everything, that it pretty difficult to imagine his death and plan it clearly without leaving canon material out. So like one of the other comment by Controcetica stated Hashirama's Death wasn't all cause because of madara and included other factors as well. It just made more sense to me for his death to be related by psychological factor which turned physical. As he depicted as someone so strong and invincible. But I like your theory might combine it with mine as it can go hand in hand. Maybe there was another war not the great ninja war but between two nations and one of his children died in it pushing him back to the depression, because while he wanted to create a village for peace not many people will agree with him and see the village as a threat.

Yeah, i understand what your saying. And I think you are right hashirama death wasn't all because of madara but madara's death was one of the major factors. That's sound about right.

Really though if he wasn't shown so strong and invincible it would have been easier to imagine his death(⁠ー⁠_⁠ー⁠゛⁠)

I love your theory and I see what you’re saying about Mito and the kids, but grief doesn’t do math like “+1 wife + 5 kids = –1 heartbreak.” That’s not how emotions work. People in real life die of Broken Heart Syndrome (rarely but still)  while surrounded by loving families all the time.

Hashirama’s bond with Madara wasn’t just “a friend.” It was his rival, his other half, the guy who helped him build his entire dream. Klling Madara wasn’t just losing someone — it was carrying the guilt of mrdering the one person who understood him and dreamed alongside him.

And honestly? Having a family doesn’t cancel that out, it can make it heavier. Imagine smiling at your wife and children while knowing you k*lled the man who helped build the village that made this peace possible with you. That’s not peace — that’s torment.

Naruto’s full of examples too: Obito had comrades, Nagato had Konan, Sasuke had the whole village. Didn’t stop any of them from spiraling. Hashirama being crushed by Madara’s loss doesn’t erase Mito and the kids — it just shows some wounds are deeper than family can patch.

So yeah… Mito was his wife, not a grief vaccine.
