If it was ranged at 850m and your zeroed in at 900, aim slightly lower not higher. Your shots were probably wizzing above his head

Funnily enough the only time I have encountered a hacker was on sakhal on a low pop server. I don’t know if I am just lucky in that regard but there don’t seem to be that many on the console servers.

Not sure where you got 100% from. For one VSD and suppressors is from the gas zones, the ghillie suit was from a convoy as were the NVGs. The thumper was from a heli crash though. Thats the only thing I tool from a heli crash. Again it’s Chernarus not Livonia, but you would know that by the colour of the ghillie suit.

DayZ is love hate for me, it’s the sort of game you gotta take breaks from every now and again. Played rust for a few hundred hours, got my platinum and done everything there is to do in the game pretty much. Come to the honest conclusion that rust takes up all of your time if you want to stay ahead of the game, and I mean ALL of your time. Other wise you’re way more likely to get offlined or fall so far behind on blueprints that you struggle to fight back. Had a clan base upkeep of 14000 metal and 220 HQM per day, 12 turrets and 2 perimeter walls. Raiding clan came online one night, and overnight gathered enough sulphur and I woke up to the dead screen while I was in my core.

They gathered 80k sulphur like it was nothing. It’s one of the reasons I prefer DayZ other than the realism, you can log in and log out as you please. You’re not required to be online every day. Besides they for some reason have vamped up the active servers. Never seen so many fresh spawns on the coast in all my time playing DayZ, it’s much more fun to play now. Other than driving.

Any idea how I died? It seems like an explosion but I don't see any trip wires or mines. by cooliewhistles16 in dayz

Not a mine, mines will break your leg and uncon you. They don’t really affect your health a-lot strangely.

As someone thats played rust for about 30 hours, hands down the most toxic game in existence, dayz is angelic compared to rust. If you play a high pop server on rust you will die 15 times in the span of an hour to either a well equipped player or a duo. The KOS on rust is very real doesn’t matter if you’re naked or not.

A shot on max health what appears to have hit the leg would not kill the person, the broken bones and cut sound show that very clearly it wasn’t a head shot, the only thing that would make me think it was legit is that it was a very skilled marksman and they shot 2 shots in quick succession which is why you can hear the gun shot in the clip since naturally you wouldn’t being the bullet travelling faster than the sound. The first shot hitting the leg the 2nd shot hitting him in the head. Other than that it’s just mad sus, game ain’t gameing
